How will the Wii version be dealt with regarding the eShop version?

Assuming there is one, of course. Bayonetta gave both digitally for the one price so I'm hoping this is similar.

Because it is a Wii game, it would need to go through the Virtual Console. From what I understand, that is a special deal set up with Nintendo on a per title basis. The Wii U eShop stuff is automatic.

So basically the only way to get the Wii version of the game is by getting it on launch day.

The Wii version of Rodea the Sky Soldier is a bonus item that is packaged with all first-run copies of the standard and limited editions of the Wii U version. At this time we have no plans to separately release the Wii version in a physical or digital format.
Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

The preorder page describes three versions but only two are listed. Are all first run copies of the standard edition bundled with the Wii version? Thanks.

Both the Standard and Limited editions of the Wii U version include the Wii version too, but only the first-run copies. All future prints of the Wii U version once this initial run sells out will not include the Wii version.

Will the Limited editions and packaged Wii versions be available for Australia?

Limited editions will be available for Australia but only through our EU Online Store.

The standard edition of the game that includes the Wii version as a bonus item will be available to our Australian customers via retailers, as well as through our EU Online Store.
