Any romance in Tokyo Abyss & Stranger Sword? (spoilers)

Postby NinjaPokeball » Sun Jan 11, 2015 9:27 pm

This is a question that I have been seeking for aeons without success.

Is there any romance or subtle hints of attraction in Tokyo Abyss similar to Demon Gaze? If yes/if no can you please explain further with specifics?

Also, is there any romance in Stranger of the Sword City?

probably no to both.

in operation abyss you don't control a main character. Alice is pretty much the main character.

sword city is more dark...

You get to go on a picnic with Noriko at one point. That's about as romantic as it gets, and it's not really romantic.

if there isn't any romance in tokyo abyss, then I will not buy it because I won't enjoy it as much as DG

So can someone please just tell me whether there is any romance or not in tokyo abyss?

Those images are of your guys hanging out, being friends, and looking cool. They don't look like they're showing any romance to me. And they do mean something for the game because you will see them at some point when playing the game.

are you saying the truth?

dont u customise your own character portraits? i can characterize them into other looks and the above promo, which happens to be in game cutscene, meaning NOTHING.

what if my characters look nothing like those depicted in the promo art. what happens? nothing. nothing happens. this sucks

more and more disappointed by this game. nothing like the goodness of demon gaze.

I wouldn't even think to say Demon Gaze was a good romance game. The gameplay is what made Demon Gaze good e.e

This. If you're going into a DRPG for the romance (or story  ), then you're probably playing the wrong game.

Ideally, any game should be capable of having a good story regardless of genre, though - so if that was what drew them to Demon Gaze, then that's totally fair, I think.

Yeah, those are just some of the character portraits that were picked out of the pool available and are used to stand in for a little cutscene image. It doesn't happen very often in the game.

And of course if you're using the classic mode where you can see your equipment on your portrait, then they will not even look like the same art style of those images.

It seems strange to me too, but I guess if that's what he says he likes, then that's what he says he likes.

I'm not saying that games like Demon Gaze can't have a good romantic plot just because it's a DRPG, what I was saying is that Demon Gaze wasn't a game that had a good romantic plot to it in my opinion. There was never really a "choice" of who you romance anyway.

This game is super pretty. I'm not too into DRPGs, but I know i'd willingly play this one just to stare artwork.
