Same. Like when the boss is about to do some massive attack, the audio sort of cuts out and it's silent. Only happens sometimes though.

Yeah, I noticed some minor audio/video issues on the Wii version of the game, but I mostly wrote it off as being due to it being a port of the PS2 version.

What's odd is, my JP language PS2 disc does this too...
I wonder if I got a faulty print.

Eh well, still freaking love this game.

Finished it (most everything is unlocked--missed 1 scene with Kayama at Battery Park--besides character-specific stuff bwahahaaha)! There were 5-10 s in battle 8-6 when I was worried the slowdown would lock up my Wii, but I came out ok. I think I was able to skip it the next time he ran that special (Pathway to Hell), so hopefully it won't happen again. Minor audio issues in most of the battles.

BTW the credits would suggest that NISA hired an outside group to QA in addition to their own staff.

That's no surprise. A title like this, a small company such as NISA wouldn't be able to handle it just by themselves. They did a smart thing.

Those of you having issues with Sakura Wars on the Wii should read our Customer Service Announcement about a common dual-layer disc problem with the Wii. Thanks

Ok. Thanks for the information.

But...

*hugs Wii* This was bought on day one. How can I let it go? :P

 Nintendo was "upgrading" systems for free a couple of years ago, which just involved cleaning the laser lens. One of the websites I looked at while searching for a solution claimed they have a kit that you can use to do this yourself. In other words, you may not even have to send your Wii on a vacation to get the problem fixed.

Yeah, I looked through Nintendo's Help forums and learned of a Cleaning Kit. Hm...$9.99.

:? already had disc replaced, and still having the same problems. It's the only disc that won't play
But I don't want to let my wii go....I'm going to try cleaning the lens at least 10 times before I send it.... maybe

You're getting the same exact freeze as I do? If so, then at least I'm not the only one...

I'm having problems with my Wii freezing up, too. I'm in the second part of the episode 4 boss battle and the system freezes each time I try to switch the stratagem. I continuing from a discontinued point and I've tried the suggestion in this thread (shutting off WiiConnect and getting a lens cleaner) but it still happened. I went to the store to replace it with a new copy and it still freezes when I try to switch to a different stratagem. My Wii is only a year old, this doesn't happen with any other game (in fact, this is a first time for me having this problem) and I don't play it very much. Any suggestions or should I just give in and send it to Nintendo? Will that even help?
