It may have come off wrong but I was trying to explain why a anime/manga game not from jump wont ever get localized, not just this but all games.

Ever wonder why the plethora of negima, code geass, love hina, tenjou tenge blah blah blah games have'nt ever gotten localized?

I guess you've never heard of a concept called hope, Stealth. No one cares about the possibilities, it's a REQUEST forum. If we actually cared, this board would practically be dead. Now please kindly stop posting negative comments, no matter the reason, unless they're not along the lines of "Such and such a game has no chance and therefore should not be requested, however GAME X, GAME Y, and GAME Z are safe choices to suggest!" or any form of that.

I know the chances are slim to none, however, the way I look at it, if you don't do something about it, and let it known, then there surely is NO chance at all for it, now, is there? Atleast, posting it for the companies to be aware of, shows there is interest in the game/games, and I can also say I have atleast tried, correct? Best going while it is fresh, and who knows? Disgaea Infinite is coming over, and yes, I know it is because it is a "Disgaea" game, but Disgaea or not, still a choice they made knowing the genre's popularity over here.

I just hope one company would be gutsy enough, even to release a very very minimal amount of copies of this game over here. If this genre came over to the US, it would have to start/restart somewhere, right? Well, here is the first hope for one, on home console.... well, atleast for PS3.

Yeah that would kinda kill the point of this board. I mean if you are given a list of games which you "have" to request, no one wants that.

Heard about this request form from gamefaqs. Please consider bringing this game to the U.S. It seems like it has great potential and it would be a shame if the U.S. market/gamers never got a chance at this game.

Oh really? Just because it's a manga property NISA won't localize it? Don't kid yourself.

Toradora and Persona: Trinity Soul were difficult series to be licensed and I am glad NISA were able to license it. Mainly because I go to most of every north eastern convention centers and I check Funimation and Bandai panels to see what they would be licensing. As for Toradora, there were many companies that wanted the series and NISA were able to grab it first hand. (Great job!) Funimations were next, and Bandai was in the back. Remember, those two studios are Anime focused studio too mostly. So they'd have more source and power of grabbing this series. As for Persona: Trinity Soul, original plans were that it was going to be licensed by Geneon at 2007~2008 and it didn't work out because of the financial problems that the company had. So the anime P: TS was on the shallow moot.

As for White Album? I am looking forward to it. I'd want to play the White Album 2 for Playstation 3 as well. Heck, I wish NISA would do To Heart 2. But of course, TH2 and TH2: AD are quite niche titles but also full of adult contents. They'll need to figure out how to edit those if they want to make it less adult content. But why not? They made Ar Tonelico rated for Teen when in Japan and Korea - they were actually 16-17+.

If its a GAME and a manga property they wont bring it to america. Knowbody will.

Did you read the recent article that said stores wont even allow manga games (other than the shonen crap) to ever be displayed.... meaning no manga game really other than those will see the light of day here.

Of course, there are exceptions. Xseed published The Sky Crawlers: The Innocent Aces earlier this year and retailers are saving shelf space for Hudson’s Beyblade games. Still, the lack of retail interest could explain why anime licensed titles are less common. Publishers, perhaps, may want to release them, but stores don’t want ‘em

.... Selective reading troubles? It helps when you read what you quote. Unless your saying The Sky Crawlers is a major franchise is America, which it could be for all I know.

And yes you said :

If its a GAME and a manga property they wont bring it to america. Knowbody will.

Yes its not likely that billions of anime games not called DBZ will start going overseas however its crap to start knocking down everything based on personal opinion alone.

I feel better now.

Yes beylade was for a time like yuigoh and was highly popular amongst little kids. Its not as popular anymore.

And 1 exception for 1 game isnt a good way to prove your point especially when that game didnt sell well.

Retailers dont want manga games on the shelves. Thats it.

Selective reading troubles indeed. Should I enlarge the text for you?

How many "1 exception" exceptions is needed to change your mind? Whether you like it or not it did happen and it therefore is possible for more. I also take it you know what "selling well" equals?

Like the The Sky Crawlers: The Innocent Aces not getting on shelves?

Not to mention NISA has never localized a manga game and lets entertain the thought they do......there are better games than white album. And if they do in some realm of possibility, the game would be guarenteed to make a loss . Sounds like they would jump right on that.

Disgaea Infinite.

Hirameki used to localize eroge awhile ago, but yeah, there really is no market. Disgaea Infinite was probably localized by the way of Disgaea's name. The western fans will just wait for a translation patch to come along. I don't know much about White Album, but I remember HIrameki asking Key if they could localize CLANNAD... and they wanted something like 1 million yen.

I have the localizations of Kana and Ever17, though. Still, if a game has a translation patch and I'm able to afford it without going through a deputy service to purchase off Yahoo Japan (in which somebody has bought the game and is selling it on there, the deputy service purchases it and sends it to you--doesn't feel like you're actually supporting the company in the long run) I'd buy more and show my support.

There's also another thing where, the eroge/galge scene in Japan is also quite small. I'd say it's below that of rhythm games and shmups. This leads to them costing up to 9,800 yen each, because they know they won't be selling them in masses like Nintendo's stuff.
