Little Princess: The Puppet Princess of Marl Kingdom 2

Postby thekid20x6 » Sat Jul 16, 2011 1:35 pm

I would love to see Little Princess: The Puppet Princess of Marl Kingdom 2 (Little Princess: Marl Ōkoku no Ningyō Hime 2) localized for either the DS or 3DS
i loved Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure for both the PS1 and the DS
and its just a waste not to see this game localized after having a great game like Rhapsody only being localized

I read though a Little Princess - Marl Oukoku no Ningyou Hime 2 translation and I loved it, Princess Kururu is such an awesome character, but I doubt this ever going to happend.

Another one that needs to be localized is Princess Antiphona's Hymn: Angel's Score Op. A for PSP which I believe is another Marl Kingdom game or at least related to the Marl Kingdom series.

The other one that needs to be localized is the 3rd game in the series for the PS2, Tenshi no Present - Marl Ōkoku Monogatari (Angel's Present: A Marl Kingdom Story)
but yes i agree Antiphona no Seikahime: Tenshi no Gakufu Op.A (Princes Antiphona's Hymn: Angel's Score Op. A) needs to be localized as well, it is the spiritual successor to the series :3

The Marl games need ports before they can be localized, so expect this to get shot down immediately, but I do support all three games mentioned here for a localized release. (Not sure why NISA passed on Antiphona.) I've always supported localization of the Marl series, since NISA first opened their doors.

As much as I'd love for this to happen ( I recently played through the second and third Marl Kingdom games ), I don't see this happening anytime soon

If NISA ever brought them here on PSN I would spill something within my pants. Even though there's very, very little chance of it happening.

Our only hope is if NIS Japan does a remake. But it seems the series is forgotten over there.

You what they should do? They should take every game they have made that are set in the world of Marl Kingdom, like:
La Pucelle,
Rhapsody,
Little Princess,
Tenshi no Present,
Marl de Jigsaw,
Marl Jong!!,
Princess Antiphona's Hymn: Angel's Score Op.A
and put them all on one collection for PS3. I mean why not? If Sega can release a collection of Genesis titles for the PS3 (Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection), then NIS so should be too. I think it could sell pretty well if NISA put lots of focus on La Pucelle since lots of people wanted the port for the PSP it seems. It would be a great excuse for not remaking them, because hey it's a collection of old games, that is the point.

And they could throw in Cooking Fighter Hao into the mix as a unlockable.

I think NISA tried with Zettai Hero Project to be on PS3, but Sony thought the graphics weren't up to PS3 standards. Plus is difficult to do with the dot graphics and trying to remaster them without having to remake it from scratch or going with Sony's ridiculous standards.

But as much as I hate to say this, but PSVita is the only option even though I would prefer PSP or PS3.

But that is the thing, publishers has released collections of old dot graphics games for the PS3 (my example the "Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection"), so that should not be a problem with my suggestion.

That's because it's Sega. And Sony knows not to piss off Sega, a major gaming company.

NISA is a small company, they unfortunately don't have that kind of power.

Collections don't conflict with Sony's stupid policies. It would work. The problem is that NISA would want absolutely no part of having to translate that many games.

The sales potential for a collection of old Sega titles is just a little bit higher than a collection of old N1 games.

Niche classics might be a sleeper hit for N1.
