Gosick Localization

Gosick was one of the best, if not the best, show of it's season IMO and it's a tragedy to not have the option to own it here in the US, an option which I would take in a heartbeat. I believe that this was one of the biggest losses to come out of Bandai's withdraw from North America and it would be a shame to have this amazing show never see the light of a US day. I would love to see NISA pick this show up not only because I want it but also because I know that NISA would give it the release that it deserves. You guys have the best anime releases in the business and I can tell that you really take pride in what your doing which is really awesome and great to see. So NISA

For anyone else out there that would love to see this show localized sound off below and I've also created a Pram's Wishlist entry for this so please go and vote for it as well. Thanks to anyone that gives their support and to NIS who will hopefully pick this up.

I'm extremely picky about what I buy that's not dubbed (I'd really only do that for an incredibly small handful of series), but it'd be nice to see this licensed anyway.

Man, I loved Gosick. Such a satisfying series...

It's still available on Crunchyroll, although unfortunately not in HD. But it's a Kadokawa series, so even if someone did license it, it would have to be DVD-only.

It would be awesome if NISA licensed it because they would surely include wonderful art book, but I honestly don't see it happening. Bones is pretty heavily regarded, so I wouldn't be surprised if this is out of NISA's price range.

I could see Funimation picking it up, Full Metal Alchemist has been really good for them. But worse case scenario, it's been licensed in Europe and Australia so you could always import.

Well I've already tried making a thread on Funimations boards and they locked it because they have a single Anime request thread with tons of posts so I'm basically stuck praying that they somehow pick this up. Also due to DVD region codes importing isn't really an option.

COmputers bypass region codes though

To some extent. You have to set it for a player and you usually can't change the setting afterward.

...I need to set myself a player up for JP DVDs so I can watch these bonus ones that came with my iM@S blu-rays.

Not exactly, I can pop any region DVD in my comp without changing any settings.

A lot of players will warn you that once you set a region setting it can't be changed. Not all of them do, but a lot of them do.

I suppose if push came to shove then I could just buy a cheap cd drive and set it to play region 4 dvds, though I would really like to have either NISA or Funimation pick this up. Just in case though does anyone know any Australian import sites that would potentially sell the series?

And I'm saying I don't get any warning or anything. I just put it in, my computer reads it, and I play it. Not sure why, cause I used to have to years ago. And not much has changed since then (in my computer).

I've never had problems with my PS2 or PS3 playing DVDs from other regions, even though they're supposedly "region locked"

My PS3 is a region 1 PS3 and won't play region 2 DVDs.
