Postby perrandy » Tue May 25, 2010 7:42 pm

yeah i'm talking about the baseball anime.man, i really enjoyed the first season of it.too bad that it didnt sold too well.so the likely chances of beign brought over is pretty slim to none.shame really because it was pretty funny as hell...if you havent see it i recommend you guys(and gals too) to check it out ;)

btw, i also would like to see the second season of shakugan no shana :0

There are a few other series that I would like to see have the second seasons or whatnot released. xxxHolic and When they cry just to name a couple. Step up Funi, let's go!

Funimation stated in an episode of ANN's Podcast that Big Windup didn't do well enought to justifty getting the 2nd season

as for the others, they are mearly distrubutinbg those shows for Geneon (since its dead/ just an IP holdings company now)

anywho....I doubt funi will get more of things like, Familiar of Zero, Shana or Nanoha...Maybe Higurashi eventually....but probably not more of the rest, unless sales for them start increasing.

I know that Geneon died and all, so funnimation took some of their shows to distribute, but if Geneon still owns the rights to these shows whats the point of owning the rights and not doing anything with them?

I believe Geneon only has the rights to the seasons that have already been released. They probably don't have the rights to SHANA II or Nanoha STRIKERS. I just meant I hoped FUNI would buy the rights to the next seasons, since they were willing to take over for Geneon. I hope they (or someone) picks up Hellsing Ultimate, Shana, FoZ and Nanoha. All four are rather popular and would probably sell well.

The thing is Online Popularity doesn't always equal sales..sure FOZ, Shana, & Nanoha are popular amoung certain groups, but they arn't really BIG in the sense that they would make whoever published them alot of dough, Oh yeah, they would probably break even after awhile, but they probably would'nt pull the Numbers Funi would want.

I mean again sure Future Seasons of When they Cry & Black Lagoon Are likely in time. But Unless the Sales of the Funi rereleases of alot of the other Geneon stuff increases, I don't see them getting the rest of those shows anytime soon.
