Jonah, a former child soldier with a tortured past, joins the mercenary unit of Koko Kematyar, a female arms dealer. Along with their other comrades, they venture through the seedy world of black market arms dealing.

Military action show based on a completed manga. I enjoyed the pilot quite a bit, lots of action and explosions. Reminds me of other army/gun shows (less FMP, more Noir/Canaan/El Cazador de la Bruja). Koko is a very interesting character to watch, her band of mercenary misfits each have some sort of connection to her, and she binds them all together. The art style is very distinct in an anime-saturated world where designs kind of blend together and borrow from each other.

The midpoint exchange was particularly memorable:

Hrm, another military-esque show this season. I shall watch this as it seems rather interesting so far...

Anyone watch Lord of War (with Nicholas Cage) btw? Good movie, kind of along the same lines as this anime.

Was surprisingly good. I was expecting a bunch of stern characters or oddballs I would never like, lol.

I'm not keen on the art style (though it does remind me of S;G), but they handled it really well. Expected from White Fox, though.

Ahh, I really like this show. The setting and plot are so serious and stuff blows up... and then there's Koko and she makes things hilarious/awesome. Not much for an overarching story yet, but I'm totally down with ragtag mercenaries + arms dealing running around, shenanigans afoot.

Got around to watching Ep2. I'd have to say Koko is definitely one of my favorite female characters this season.

Certainly could be leading up to that, but I get the feeling that the group is going to stay with the same members throughout, barring maybe a couple deaths.

Aww, RIP Chinatsu. I liked her very much. Going commando makes her aim better = best logic ever.

Strangely, all the side-characters I like these days seem to keep on dying.
