I grew up playing 8-bit games so I think I prefer retro. Even now, if I hear a good retro song, I'll be far more impressed by it then say, by an orchestrated song. I like that they offer both though. I can play through the game twice and have it feel like two different games. :D

Retro, just like Scott Pilgrim.

Ugh, I still haven't played that game. From the Anamanaguchi songs I've looked up, the soundtrack must sound incredible.

Indeed, it is incredible. I play the game pretty much for the OST.

Plan on playing with retro music, it's an 8-bit syled game & it's dying to have its retro formated music with it =P (I'll play with real on the second playthrough)

If I get it, I'll probably just use retro

I've tried both now, and Real just sounds so much more amazing to me, so I'm gonna stick with it :D

Ok so I play the game religiously now and here's my opinion...

Definitely retro. I like the nostalgic feel of 8-bit music.

I like both. The Real music has that "epic" feel to it, whereas the 8-bit music is nostalgic feeling.
I'm actually using the music setting as a way to differentiate between game progress and grinding in a Let's Play I started of the game (and really need to continue it!).
