Is it a good idea to play Prinny 1 first?

I'm probably going to try out this game as soon as I finish playing Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness, and I'm wondering: Is it recommended that I play the first Prinny game, or should I just skip it and play Prinny 2?

Playing the 1st Prinny game would really only help you just get the basics of the controls. But Prinny 2 has a Baby mode for the ultimate beginners which makes it easier than before. It does come with a soundtrack in the 1st game though.

Prinny 2's story is completely different than the 1st game since this revolves around Etna's missing panties but also includes an Asagi story mode. 1st game was about finding the Ultra Legendary Dessert for Etna.

So basically no you don't need to play the 1st Prinny game but getting the 1st game would just help you get the idea on what to expect in these Prinny games.

I'd suggest playing Prinny 1 first. Just because it's awesome and it's for only 9.99$ at PSN.

Yup for the 1st game that is. I beleve it's been like that for awhile now but it doesn't come with well a UMD and the soundtrack CD. However the 2nd game is cheaper at Gamestop by $10 since Gamestop has it for $20, while PSN Store has it for $30.

Yeah, I noticed that too. The annoying thing is that even though I kinda get his pattern now, sometimes the skull guys mess up my dodging and stuff and make me waste time when I try to stun him.

Yeah, I never lost that many prinnies to a non-final boss in the last game. D:

EDIT: And now that I have finally beaten the guy the phantom thief is giving me trouble. Of course.
