Because it would annoy them, of course.

Who's to say that people wouldn't be annoyed if you disturbed Nepgear's incorruptible innocence? :P

What a brilliant idea! Thank you, Wdog! I'm joking this time. I wouldn't do that at all, I swear. I don't have the nerve for it.

...

Yeah, Neptune is gonna fucking kill me.

Neptune: That's right! :D

*gulp*

Well, I changed my trophy card background to naked Nepgear 'cause quite frankly, if Neptune's gonna kill me, why give a fuck anymore? I for one welcome my death by Neptune. :P

Neptune: You know you're just gonna feel my sword, right?

Well, here's the first e-mail courtesy of Wdog-999.

---

To: Neptune
Subject: Re:About your car

... I should’ve known something was up when you actually typed in the subject.

And don’t worry! Cars get ‘accidentally’ destroyed all the time! After all, you did ‘accidentally’ destroy it not that long ago (gee, it’s surprising how quickly you repeat history, and often as a result of you trying to escape work). It happens to a lot of things, in fact. Why, just moments after reading your e-mail, I ‘accidentally’ broke into your pudding stash and gave it all to the Ultradimension’s Planeptune for Peashy, Plutia, and Histoire to eat. But, woe is me, I also ‘accidentally’ gave away your chocolate to Rom and Ram! When will this tragedy end?!

Don’t touch my car ever again.

So here we have an e-mail responding to an Anonymous source (in the real world; we all know who it is in context. At least, I hope you do. I know she doesn't get a lot of fanart but come on).

Subject: Re:Something in Lastation’s air?

Firstly, I would like to congratulate you on your brilliant deductive skills. Truly, it would only take you such an amount of time to discover that your CPUs are ‘tsundere’ as you call them. If you also figured out that Noire also had a massive crush on Neptune and Uni on Nepgear, I would be left utterly aghast. Your watchful eye over the information network truly would be without a single flaw and the world would know it.

Okay, jokes aside, it is odd to hear that some people in the staff are also becoming tsundere. I’m going to assume that they weren’t prior to this e-mail, of course. It could be the atmosphere as you suggest but let’s not jump to conclusions. Are the affected individuals connected? Perhaps they have their own little Noire Fanclub or something. If they’re scientists, chemists, or engineers, investigate them and their projects thoroughly. Or maybe it’s ‘in’ right now, something fashionable. Frankly, I’d be surprised if it wasn’t if you take into account all the anime and manga.

Alternatively — and this is just conjecture, by the way — shares might have something to do with it. Maybe this is indeed because people who worship Lastation find tsundere CPUs to be the best. In that case, could the feelings in the shares carry over to the populace and affect their mentalities as well? It’d explain why Planeptune is still going strong after all this time, at least.

It doesn't matter whether or not you're afflicted. Don't worry; it won't affect how I see you at all. I still won't like you anyway.

It shows. Here's another one from you:

I don't know what part of the tome you got that from but I can assure you that that’s not true at all. I’m thinking you read the passage out of context. I suggest you go back over it and read more. You didn’t forget to bookmark the page, right? Just so you know, the bookmarks and sticky notes are in the third drawer to the right in the second desk from the third room on the 32nd floor (assuming no one’s stolen them again).

‘Blackmail’ material aside, do you remember the last time you tried to take the tome outside with you? Yeah, you used it as a lunch plate and almost lost it. Thank God Vert was visiting at the time; we wouldn’t have been able to catch up to Linda otherwise. Anyway, the guards and turrets are there to make sure that doesn't happen again.

But anyway, I don’t think you’re going to convince anyone that it’s true. Heck, I don’t even believe it. Do you at least have a scan or a photo, something tangible to share with me that can give you credibility? I don’t think saying you found it in a book you struggle to stay awake to read and try to escape from every chance you get as my car would be able to attest to if it was still living with us would go very far as proof.

*sees a ball of tumbleweed drift by* ... Hm. Kind of barren in here. Oh well, here's another one from Wdog-999:

I heard you scream really loudly. Are you okay?

---

To: Neptune
Subject: Re:Proof

... Neptune, while that does look like it's from the tome, writing over it in crayon is not going to convince anyone who isn't a silhouetted NPC. And what the hell is with the gibberish on the sides? It looks like all you did was get a page that was about Noire and scribble over it. At least I have an idea of what to get her for Christmas now; she's very hard to by for.

I have to say, that's a oddly good scan from a book, though. How'd you get it flat on the scanner?

... You didn't rip the page right out of the tome, did you?

At least Histoire is a tome and not some manga. I can't imagine what kind of damage would happen if someone tried to do a clean scan of all the pages. :?

I'm wondering why Jacob doesn't even bother to just drop the email gig if he can hear Histoire scream really loudly and actually check on her. Sometimes Jacob ain't always the brightest in the crayon box now is he?

Bright enough at least...

In the confines of the Basilicom, he assumed she just stubbed her toe against something.

Oh. So she screamed ouch or something. I wonder how loud she'd have to scream considering her small body. Jacob must actually have a super power! Way above average hearing!

Do you know how much stubbing your toe can hurt?

Yes. But I usually just get down on one knee and whisper, in a very pained voice, tongues to the thing I stubbed on.

I don't understand how anyone can whisper anything after stubbing their toe.
