Yeah, I don't...particularly like this move at all. It feels a bit underhanded to me.

What do you mean with that?

Probably that NISA is putting out collections of games from IPs they no longer own anymore, so it looks like they're trying to grab money from them or something? You could word it better.

I'm sure Gust, or KT now, and IF/CH still get a cut, but yeah.

It's also distributing inferior versions of the games as well, since they can't distribute the plus versions of the Arland trilogy or the Re;birth versions of the Neptunia games. And, if I'm allowed a little hyperbolic humor, I'd argue that if you're selling Neptunia 1 when Re;birth 1 exists, that should be considered a war-crime.

the Arland Trilogy being PS3 while the rumored Hypercollection being PS4 is also baffling until you factor that the Atelier series hasn't made any confirmed leaps to PS4, while Neptunia has. That could be percieved as an attempt to snipe the market.

the non rebirth versions are inferior, they are just, well different, I mean there are probably quite some ppl out there who like the fighting style of Nep1 or mk2 (well victory is equal to rb1 and 2 so that doesnt matter here) I have been quite some times saved by the AP system since I can spam healing with ease, given you have enough AP, but at the same time it's quite annoying when you cant even finish a combo at the beginning of the game, also in Nep 1 you can bash your best skills (like neptune break and similar) as much as you like since there is no SP system and AP fill up each turn...

I'll give you HDN being a distinct enough experience from RB1, even if, much as I like HDN's gameplay, RB1 is a much better game, but MK2 and V are pretty much moot now between their localizations and all around better versions coming directly from the source to both handhelds, consoles (PSTV), and PCs down the road. The only real loss is Compile in V, which we never got anyway, and Nisa and Gust in MK2, who are gone from the series period.

R;B1 is the better game, but HDN still has the best plot/characterization in the series.

I'd much rather rebuy and replay it than R;B1, to be perfectly honest.
I never got my avatars.
Still holding my breath for the other Marl Kingdom games.

... I sincerely do not understand how you think the original game's characterization/plot is any better

Because it is? Because R;B1's is a Cliffs Notes version of the original with completely different endings?

That analogy still doesn't make any sense to me. :?

It's based on the original, yeah, but it still isn't the original.

Do your part and spend a little extra on the superior localizations and remakes.
Money in Nisa's pockets just means more games for them to ruin.

well some think they are superior some think the opposite, I like all systems, in fact sometimes the System from 1st nep is pretty nice since I dont need to calculate range, movement etc. in...
but Nep1 is annoying that you dont know where you continue the story (probably a reason why I still havent finished it even though I bought it Christmas 2013)

instead of argoing, let's just say they are different and end it with this
