True Forms of the Goddesses (spoilers)

Postby Seventh » Mon Feb 28, 2011 10:18 am

So, a friend and I have been having an argument about this, and I figured I'd see what you guys think.

We know that each of the Goddesses/CPUs has a "human" form and a transformed form, right? Well, our problem is, we're trying to figure out which one is their "true" form - that is, which one could be considered their... natural state, I guess.

The way I see it, since they're Goddesses and all, the transformed state is their true form. They make reference to how they only need/use the other form in the human world, and in the opening sequence before Neptune gets kicked out, there were no human forms to be seen. From what I can tell, they use that human form to get around and live down there, because sustaining the transformed state for long periods of time outside of Celestia is just too draining on them.

Now my friend's point is that the human form should be the only one that counts, and that the fact that they're TRANSFORMATIONS and not REVERTING BACK...formations should be evidence enough. He's being reeeally stubborn about it too. Not only that, but when Neptune gets her memories back, there's a scene in which Arfoire is instructing her to fight the other three - and the form she's in there is her loli form as opposed to her "Goddess" form. What I've said is that because she was viewing her memories while in that form, that's just what she "sees" it as (like how she was running around in that form while invisible in the earlier flashbacks with Histoire) - in the context of the memory, though, I imagine she would have been in her other form.

... Yeah, I got wordy there. But what do you guys think?

Both? It's fiction, and they are fictitious life forms. Perhaps to them each form is no different than standing or sitting for us. Standing takes more effort and energy, but sitting is not considered our true form.

Well yeah, they're fictitious, but just saying that wouldn't be any fun.

You missed the point.
I'm saying that them being fantasy life forms means that evidence or logic may not neccesarily apply to them.

Besides I'd think them having just 1 "true" form is the boring answer..Moar is funneriester

I think their true form are the goddess form...
I mean...they come from Celestia.
And maybe they need a human form to be in the human world.
IMO

Well their CPU goddess form is their true form, but personally I think they could of ascended to a higher form if they wanted to.
Spoiler:
like Arfoire did, although it doesn't necessarily have to be a monster form, it could be any form they want really. A dragon was just what Arfoire preferred based on her own preference for an ascended form.

I think it's fun to think about myself. Plus, it CAN be about logic, sometimes. I think chances are they were "born" as Goddesses, in any case, as opposed to the human forms.

On that note, do you think it's possible Neptune had a more traditional outfit in her human form (like the other three) before she lost her memories? I think that'd be pretty cool to see myself.

That's what I'm thinking, pretty much.

That's a good point! Though I'm not sure where an ascended form comes in in regards to "true", you know? But man, that'd be crazy thinking about what each one would have turned into.

... Neptune into a hedgehog and White Heart into a Kirby, maybe?

Green heart into a manly space marine =p.
I just mean that I think of fictional characters that are not human as you would an intergalactic alien. But I don't mean to convince anybody anything, or ruin your fun.

Oh no, I know! I made this post to see what other people thought after all, and so I was just as prepared for people to agree with my friend's idea as I was mine. To that end, your view is actually kind of cool since it's fairly in-between and all.

... Not sure if want that Green Heart transformation though. Maybe she can import her upgrade from Planeptune...

It just occurred to me. Neptune can also transform into a spaceship saying "I'll show you my true power".
Something to consider.

Well hell, maybe she ascended herself too. Which skill is that, by the way?

Come to think of it, it's actually kind of odd Neptune and Purple Heart look so similar whereas the others (take Blanc and White Heart for example) look... radically different from each other for the most part.

Vert/Green Heart - Xbox 360
Blanc/White Heart - Wii
Noir/Black Heart - Playstation 3
Neptune/Purple Heart - Neptune

The consoles they're based on are their true forms. Everything else is just MAGIK.
Lowering the price of the PS3 to $150 is like mass producing the Big Zam. It's the greatest idea that will never come to pass. OH SHI-!

... Given how much thought they obviously put into the FICTIONAL "Sega Neptune"...

Quick, let the console kissing begin!

CPU Neptune

Most of the animes/RPGs i watch/play... the god of each game came to the world with a human form...
Unless...they take a random human body to use it. o.O
