I wouldn't mind but I think there's only so far the series can go. They can't keep hitting the reset button forever, I don't think. (I haven't beaten Neptunia 1 yet but I can assume that Arfoire is destroyed by the end, yet she's alive and well in MK-2 and has captured the goddesses....)

I won't spoil you, but really, in regards to a FRANCHISE, you can do whatever you want.

Have it be about "prehistoric" consoles,

have a game about the ancient heroes, have a game about that was-supposed-to-happen-singular-Goddess,

and so on. You could, for instance, have Hyperdimension Saturnia or something with a completely different plot and cast altogether. It was that kind of thing that I was hoping for in a sequel.

As for why they're all there in 2,

And yeah, I'd really like to see the "ancient" console wars. They need to keep putting games out so we can have Hyperdimension Saturnia, Hyperdimension Genesis, an adventure maybe about Nepgear all grown up, and so on.

Wouldn't you guys' ideas be a whole lotta characters in one game, though? Especially when they're the same gender. That's a lot of voice actors to hire. Japan might be capable, and that's a might. But for America, which has a very small anime voice actor pool....

You still got to take into account the possibilities of returning characters or cameos.

... And? The main characters should always come first and, more importantly, Disgaea's always managed find, as has the Tales series and so on. Not only that, if we talk "ancient" console wars or even alternate universe/retellings of things, the characters we have don't even exist yet.
