Weeell... unless you want links for more of the NSFW versions of some of the costumes made. Then you're gonna have to do a bit of digging.

Damn, the NSFW costumes aren't linked on the first page? That could make things a bit challenging.

Edit: Nevermind, not that difficult after all. Thanks Ke-y for using the term NSFW in all of your pictures that aren't, makes search for them incredibly easy.

I don't think this will work out because of the crazy amount of testings I will need to do to familiarize myself with the new template and then working on the textures itself will be another matter too. Also, I don't have a set time on when I work on the costumes and when I get into the groove, I would work for a good couple of hours straight, but if I am having to send you the files for you to test it, snap them and then sending back to me, that will be too much work for the both of us and will also kill my groove. Also, it will probably make it fairly stressful for the both of us to have to keep checking the PMs to see if either of us have received or replied, etc, etc.

One other option is to obtain the character models themselves. Once the game is released, I am sure there will be people who'd extract the resources out of the disk and share it. If I can obtain that then it will allow me to work on V costumes without much trouble and only require you to do some quality checking when it's plugged into the game. This option will be the most ideal in this situation or you'll have to wait till I obtain the US version of the game.

Not every character (unless you mean goddess, which you probably do), but I doubt we'll be able to edit every goddess’ costume. Neptune, Vert, Noir, Blanc, Pururut, and Nepgear are the only ones I think we'll be allowed to edit. I don't see the other candidates being editable. x:

That's exactly what I meant. Anyway, those are pretty much the only characters that really need it, in my opinion.

Editing Uni's could be nice..

^.^ My thoughts exactly.

Ke-Y wrote:@namtap - that's true about Inori's costume. I was only basing it off the color lol and thanks for the Asuna image, i didn't have it.

I don't go off color too much since I am mainly modifying the colors and leaving the majority of the costumes shape intact. And no problem.

Welcome to the Neptunia Costume Hub. :D

As Aphrah has mentioned, I am one of the people in here that's still working on creating costumes for mk2. At the moment it seems like we are working towards filling Part 3 up with 30 costumes then the focus will probably shift towards gearing up for V costumes.

I see that you mentioned Kiddy Grade, I actually really liked that show myself. Watched it countless times. This has been mentioned previously as well, there aren't any costumes made here that's based off Eclair or Lumiere, but I really like both Eclair's costumes and the Lumiere's second costume. The first one just looks like a school swimsuit really.

Edit: You are welcome about the NSFW stuff. lol XD

Ah.. I understand. Well, it's up to you. I don't mind putting up with anything you'd need me to put up with.

Hm. There are, yes. But it usually takes a while for this to happen, as the files can be very difficult to extract sometimes, and since I don't know how to apply costumes to the models, that may prove more than a little difficult (unless you know how to apply them?).

@Aphrah - I would say, let's try to get the models themselves. Who knows, maybe the existing tools can already crack the files if they don't bother to write new encryption. Apparently I read that HDNmk2 JP version was hella easy to crack and they just enforced the security for the US/EU versions which ended up taking more time but it's now cracked as well.

If I can somehow manage to obtain the resources, there is nothing you need to do at your end really, all you need to do is plug the textures into the game and see if it has any problems or not. So you don't have to go through all the trouble to deal with all these unknown files. I will handle that. It's what I do. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Games Character Modeling and Master's Degree in High Resolution (Movies) Character Modeling. XD

Thank you, glad to have finally stopped lurking the NISA forums and posting instead. I do want to say thanks for all of the great costumes, and as I'm typing this you're already being complimented by a lot of people saying it makes sense given your education and background; well it does, I agree. I'm also glad to see someone else liked that anime, I have become rather adjusted to no one even knowing what I'm talking about when I mention it.

As for the costumes you said you liked, I want to make sure we're thinking the same thing, so I'm going to post a couple pictures. In order, Eclair's first then second followed by Lumiere's first then second.

E2 http://www.animegalleries.net/img/110558
L1 http://www.animegalleries.net/img/25872
L2 http://www.animegalleries.net/img/162077
If those are the right costumes you're thinking about and the right order, I have to say even if Lumiere's first costume is basically just a swimsuit, I do love the add-ons with the thigh-highs, boots, and shoulder pads. However if any of those are something you would ever be interested in working on, for this game or for V when it comes out, I know I will take whatever I can get. Beggars can't be choosers, right?

Feels nice to finally take part in the community, huh? And I think the word you were looking for was not 'adjusted,' but 'accustomed.' And I think most of us here know what that feels like. You might notice that a couple pages back a few of us were discussing SAO. Most people I know have never even heard of Sword Art Online, let alone read the light novels. So, don't worry.

About those costumes, if you want to turn those into costumes in Mk 2, they would need some modifications, except that third one, since skirts and such can't be put into the costume easily. And is it just me, or does that third one seem like someone tried turning a school swimsuit into a maid uniform?

Yes it does, and thank you for the word correction. Honestly I didn't know if those costumes were able to be created or not, I have a hard time drawing stick figures, so really anything on the visual side of art is beyond my understanding. Yes, that third costume was kind of an odd look, but it really appealed to me over the years. I'm not sure if I should consider the design to be inspired or idiotic, but that doesn't matter nearly as much as the simple fact I like it.

Edit: finished my original post, posted too early.

Trust me, you're not alone when it comes to the drawing thing. There's a reason I use a base someone else made and modify it to make my own costumes: I can't draw. Or paint. And yet, when it comes to color coordinating, I'm not half-bad. Sadly, this means that, while I can customize costumes to fit with certain processor sets, I cannot make my own original costume. :'(

...Oh well. At least there's something I can do to help. So, there's probably something you can do as well.

I honestly wish the costume canvas customization worked similar to the SoulCalibur character creation. If you could pick from an assortment of different processor parts, adjust the colors as you want, and even add your own; that would be amazing. It would be like taking the system already in place to the next level, allowing a good amount of variety and letting even amateurs adjust costumes to a certain extent.

However, who knows how it is going to work for V, maybe it will be a bit more simplified and a bit more variety. With the seemingly larger budget and obvious attempts to start pushing beyond the simple niche style, there are a lot of possibilities for what they could be doing. Time will tell, for now we wait patiently.

Lol, yeah that's true.

Btw, Aph, I mostly finished (I think) the Frost costume.
Spoiler:
Image

I wanted to change that little cross that's hanging from the choker thing around her neck into a replica of the snow flake from the Frost (H) processor, but that was a little bit too much work to do.

Also, can someone double check to see that my last two costume work when used in the game. I had originally made a jpg and a png of each costume, but the jpg one didn't work in my game. However, when I set it up so I could post the pictures here, the pngs got converted into jpgs for some reason. So I'm not sure if the costumes up are the one's that work or not.
