I had trouble getting Vert, Uni, Noire, and Blanc to level 5.
What I did was went to a high level dungeon and kept using them in battle until I 'eventually' got them maxed out. The dungeons I used were DLC dungeons, but you could use a late story dungeon and get the same results.

I am not sure if level has anything to do with rank, but it could. I had all my levels maxed before I maxed their lily ranks, didn't really help much though. =/

Is the Metal Dogoo a super rare encounter or what? I've been trying to encounter it in Lan Castle with no luck, need the stupid Metal Jelly for a quest.

Oh also how do you get the trophies for Lan Party and Hot Springs?

Quite, in my 200+ hours, I have only ever encountered five of them.

This is probably a really dumb question...something I imagine would be in the rulebook but I couldn't find it. But uhh. how do I change which character appears in the dungeon explore mode? I don't HAVE to look at nepgear all the time do I? I don't dislike her or anything, but I generally like using iffy as my display character, at least until I get Noir.

Also, I forget the name of the combo, but assume they are set to default, I can't help but notice compa's attack1+triangle+triangle+square attack seems to do a VERY unusual amount of damage. I forget the name of the squre, full power I think? But anyway, its power in the menu says 50...but I see it ONE SHOT some enemies that her 3 attacks (totaling over 60 power together) beforehand couldn't reduce by even 25%. what gives? Is it just a bug for that combo/attack? Or are the "power" indicators for all the moves pretty unreliable and meaningless? Other than that move they seem accurate enough to me.

However, From what I gather, power is not multiplied by the number of hits in an attack, but I'm thinking break-meter reduction IS. Can anybody confirm/deny this? I'm pretty sure I'm right, but honestly that's so unintuitive and flat out weird that I have my doubts >=P.

Not a question, but "what the goodness!" is now my fave expression >=P.

I only have the JP version so I don't know how it's called in english but, go to the menu where you can change which character is coupled with someone. Press Triangle on one of the 4 characters on left to make her the leader, it shows that under the picture too. And before anything, yes you can only make one of the 4 characters who is participating in battle the leader.

In the partners menu pick someone and press triangle to make them the party leader.

Finally ran into the Metal Dogoo twice, and both times it didn't drop the jelly which figures why would they drop it it's not like it's their only item drop or anything... :roll:

Gah 9 Metal Dogoo's and still no Metal Jelly, if I use a luck boosting accessory does that increase the drop rate for items?

I dont know but i kinda doubt it. Stat descriptions are one of the few things in thr rulebook and iirc luck only affected crit and run chance iirc. Maybe not even crit, hit or dodge? Something and run chance! Point is I didnt see drop% in there.

I hate it when designers decide a game should have low drop%s on low spawn% monsters. Like its not fun to grind it over and over. Its not even challenging. I mean if anything it makes it easier iverall since people will inevitably be overlevel after such a grind, what the goodness!

From what I noticed when playing, yes the break-meter seems to be affected, not much but if you pay attention you'll notice.

Finally got the Metal Jelly from the 11th Metal Dogoo I killed, also got the normal ending and started round 2 should I go for the Character specific endings before attempting true and ruling endings?

I'd re-load and go character specific. The true/conquest endings close out the character specific ones...so those can only pop up in a normal ending playthrough!
