That WAS pretty neat ~

I'd just like more traditional Japanese sorta places

And a REALLY scary area

I think JRPGs would do well with a scary area. Kinda like some of Finnel's Cosmosphere.

Yeah, I could see them doing something nice with a scary area, though I don't think that I've played anything with a scary theme, or level in a long time

And I'd count Finnel's cosmosphere as warped, not scary :P

Okay, I'll give you that one...it was kinda creepy when you think about it...

Heck, all we need is a dark area with some sort of commotion going on in the background for the start of a creepy area...it is creepy in RL, that's for sure :P

In before somebody complains about off-topicness.

That said, I wonder: what themes could fit Neptunia? Considering it doesn't attempt to be serious at all, so they could go completely wacky if they wanted (like e.g. those color blocks areas in mk2). What about a carnival-like area? Though good luck getting Neptune out of there once she steps in =P

It's not really off-topic, since we've been discussing what types of areas we'd like-- and been giving examples. That type of subject is really open-ended, so it can't really be considered off-topic.

Personally... I want to see at least a few of these; I know CH won't put them all in.:

-More digital areas: Those were my favorite in Mk2, shame there was only three of em.
-Creepy dungeons: The castle was 'okay' in Mk2, but it didn't seem creepy-- at all. Don't get me started on how disappointing the Gamindustri Graveyard was. .-.
-Snowy dungeons: Snowy plains, mountains, a frozen cave-- whatever it may be. I want it. xD
-Ruins: I looooove ruins, creepy? Yes. Mystifying? Yes. But that's something I want a lot. This could also tie in with a temple of some sort.
-Desert Area

A carnival would be awesome-- make it something like WitchyWorld from Banjo-Tooie; as in it's an evil carnival, and we have ourselves a winner ~

Oh yes witchy world...with those sketchy food vendors. :P

Maybe they could do an abandoned Basillicom dungeon

and name it "Blanc's Mansion." xD

An actual beach dungeon would be nice...instead of that round metal thing we got.

Are you implying Blanc leaves her basilicom unattended? What about all the people working there?

That sneeze, cough, and burp on your food ~ :3

That... would be pretty unique, I'd love to see what the inside of a Basillicom is like. Having it abandoned-- and possible ruined, would be awesome. =P

Well.. I always looked at Mk2's "beaches" as more of vacation homes, or resorts. It wasn't very 'beach-like' at all. xD

Maybe she decorated it for Halloween? O.o

But I want an actual beach >_< can't have swimsuits without a beach to run on / or swim in the ocean.

Pretty good list you got there Mizu, I can agree with all what you listed, except the first point.

Why not digital areas?

By saying that I like the digital areas, I mean the theme surrounding them. They were too damn linear in mk2. I personally want something that is similar to that of the Rockman Network series; Ryuusei no Rockman(Starforce) and Rockman EXE (Battle Network).

Multiple pathways, loads of dead ends, and mystery data hidden to and fro.

Plus... without that series, I wouldn't have ever given two shits about Neptune. xD

A Neptunia game where you can swim? (even if in practice it's just walking with a different animation)
