Ubiquitor wrote:As Chad was heading over to the admissions office for a routine exchange of forms, he noticed a skirmish occurring in the Garden. After mumbling something to himself regarding a blatant disregard for school property, he approached the scene and said aloud, "Mr. Fortinbraz, I presume this is one of your class' exercises. Do you find this activity to be not the least bit... excessive?"
Fortinbraz froze. It seemed there was another thing there. It made noise as well, but it meant nothing to him. The first thing seemed rooted to the spot, resistant; he could not topple it over the way he wanted. And now there was another, but this one was moving closer. It had to be coming for him, there was no other reason in his mind at present for why these things existed. With them came the threat of the water; two of them could overpower him. This realization sent white shock through his body. But he couldn't fight two off, no no. He needed to hide from them, to shroud their senses. The shadows began on the bank though, the bothersome light was shining down on the river itself. Instinctively, Fort used his powers. The light from the area seemed to fade, to drain away until it was black as pitch. The light of the flame of the fire golem could not illuminate the oppressive darkness. It was tempered as well by his fear; there was a sense of unease and negativity to the shadow that had obscured the area. Fortinbraz only allowed the light from the world to reach his own eyes; knowing that the things could no longer see him brought him a familiar sense of safety, the fear of the cave seemed to be abating.

"Hell Golem!" A mysterious, huge creature appeared in front of her. He was made entirely out of rock and his body was hot, literally. Fire could be seen coming out of his entire body, making him an extremely valuable asset in battle. He assumed a defensive stance, waiting for the right moment to counterattack the panther that was approaching.
Rinko stopped in her tracks. Woah, gotta admit that is impressive. She was considering switching to a more powerful form when she suddenly found herself unable to see. She had felt this magic before, and gritted her teeth. Fortinbraz, get it together. Even with her superior senses, since Fort had blocked light from entry, she could not see at all. However, she could smell and hear. This gave her an advantage.
