If I say it's 'hilarious' it is for me. I'm not overreacting or anything. There are comics which I don't find that entertaining. But, comedy is completely relative. There is no way to judge how funny something is in an objective manner.

an AO rating (which is a death sentence for any game)

I know that's the popular theory around the industry, but in all fairness, the only difference between AO and M is one year in the purchaser's age and there haven't been enough AO games made to really judge whether or not it really does mean that the game isn't going to sell.

Honestly, the only ones that kept an AO rating were porn games on PC (and CD-i, in one odd little case). Very few console games have ever held the AO rating and they never held it permanently. They're also all games that I knew the title of, so it's not like they were niche games that slipped under the radar. There really just isn't enough to judge by.

But hey, I don't do the marketing and PR.

Consumer response to AO is nothing more than knee-jerk at best and blatant ignorance at worst.

Sure this is from a few pages ago, but some M rated games get aged at 18+ instead of 17+. We used to make it a slight deal at the local video store every once in a while before it went under. Why? Because we jerk little kids like that. I wanna punch an official in the arm over this BS.

I'm still planning on preordering it next month since the game's chance of localization is becoming more grim with every moment. But nothing is set in stone yet. I already have enough games to keep me busy for the next few months.
