I can definitely see this getting released during the first full week of September. NISA definitely has a track record that leads a logical guess to early September. If not early September then sometime in September for sure. Just like how Disgaea 4 was released in September of last year with the tentative release date of "Fall," I think Mugen Souls will follow suit.

Well if it has the chibi figures I will get LE for sure. But either way I'm getting this right when it comes out.

D4 actually had a "Summer" tentative date originally IIRC, but yeah...they seem to avoid the whole November/December months, thats for sure

Actually, technically, September 6th is still in "Summer". Summer doesn't officially start until... I think the 21st.

So, that could be used to say Mugen Souls might not come out until Late September/October... but we'll have to see. I can't recall, does anybody know about how long before a game's release does NISA usually announce a release date?

Yeah, forgot it's release date...but it did say Summer

Totori was the one that said fall...and it came out on September 27th, meaning it can be late September/Early October

As for how long, it depends really...I mean, they actually gave a solid release date for Legasista, so I think they really don't have an idea just yet on when this will be released

Well, a developer has good reasons to not give solid dates, but NISA only translates and dubs, and they've been at it for awhile, so you'd think they'd have a good estimate.

There are publishers who tell people when they have a good idea when, and publishers that hold dates back for as long as possible. I have a good feeling NISA is the former kind.

Among other things, stating a seasonal release window provides wiggle room if unexpected things happen; it's easier for a company to shuffle things around, I think, if they haven't committed to a specific date.

Agreed. And again, not saying their wrong for not giving a solid date yet. I never expected them to at this point. A more accurate guess might've been appreciated though.

I mow my lawn every week. I know it takes me roughly 45 minutes. They translate and dub games. They probably have a good idea of how long the process is, unless Mugen Souls is a substantially larger game... which it could be, for all I know.

Idk, I just like to know these things, since my income is fairly sporadic and I need to be able to plan purchases well in advance.

How long it takes to dub/translate really depends on how text heavy the game is, and from the sounds of it, this game is pretty text heavy...so we'll have an idea when we figure out how long the dubbing took based on the % of the game that is dubbed in English...heh
