We opted to edit a few parts of the game to better appeal to a Western audience.

Translation: We opted to censor the game to appease the ESRB.

If you gotta, you gotta...an AO game won't sell at all, after all...and I believe them when they said that they only edited a bit, so it doesn't bug me...though even if they did edit some stuff out, I wouldn't be bothered

The only part that bugs me is that they said they did it to appeal to the western audience (sounds like BS to me). Other than that, I really don't have any other problem with what they said. I will wait to see what these "minor edits" are when they release it.

That just means that they changed some jokes to use the western equivalent is all...Disgaea did it, Trinity Universe did it, heck, even Cross Edge and Neptunia did it to an extent, it's nothing new for them

"Appeal to the western audience" is an euphemism for "We wouldn't be able to bring the game over if we kept it completely intact, so we had to edit it" which is true. I'm sure NISA will try their best to edit the least amount of things possible to make the game acceptable for North America.

Also, edit =/= censoring.

I love how everyone is like "yeah okay whatever" to Mugen Souls getting censored, but the minute Funi dropped that word, the whole anime fandom went ballistic (and a lot of people didn't even care about the anime, just the "censoring" part.) They later opted to release Bund unedited. Wow.

Well that's because they had actually sold lolicon hentai and loli eroge here before that had released, so it'd be pretty hard to convince people that it couldn't be released unedited as long as it got the proper rating.

GFAQs is pretty much the bottom of the barrel if news isn't being discussed. Like... as someone who goes to GFAQs fairly often myself, 98% of the users there either are, or act like morons.

Yeah, I've noticed that, heck, it's one of the reasons I look at the forums, some of the people are so ignorant that it's hilarious...

@vampko - exactly, if it got the proper rating, which is 18+, but with kids talking their parents into buying em M games, the ESRB would give it an AO, they're odd like that
