Generally, I'll listen to a dub unless the game is so absolutely terrible with the voice-acting (Baten Kaitos, Chaos Wars, etc.) that I have to switch languages.

I will always prefer the english track unless it is... truly atrocious, which thankfully, with NISA, it never is.

Honestly, the only time I listen to the japanese track is when there either is no dub, or it's back from the late 80's when nobody cared how shit the english dub sounded and couldn't translate for shit.

Fact is, people put more care into thier dubs these days. And there's little I hate more than someone who can't even see that.

I usually enjoy both a lot, which is why, while I typically play a game in English first, if it has replay value, definitely play it in Japanese if available on a later playthrough. The exception to this is Disgaea games, which I usually reverse that order.

We all seem to agree when it comes to this, heck, I haven't seen vamp truly complain about a dub in some time...and he's the one most likely to do it out of the regulars (no offense)...it's starting to scare me

Kidding aside though, Zeke said exactly how I feel, most dubs nowadays are good, aside from 4kids (the VAs are fine...the directing/script isn't) or some of the Cartoon Network anime dubs (Bakuman Battle Brawlers had some hilariously misplaced casting)

NISA, I rarely complain about dubs. They just know how to make voices appealing to myself. Other companies it's hit/miss.
