The "Official" Voice Actor Speculation Thread

True, I can't talk anyways, since some of my favorite male VAs are JYB, Liam O'Brien, Steve Blum, and Crispin Freeman

JYB has some range... it did take me awhile to realize that he was Almaz.

Besides, my all-time favorite male VA is Troy Baker, whose range is best represented by an on/off sillyness switch.

JYB has some range... it did take me awhile to realize that he was Almaz.

He was Renton in Eureka Seven which was how I recognized his voice. He seems to have two main voices, the Ichigo/Power Ranger voice and the kid/"nice guy" (lack of better term without using something insulting) voice.

Yeah, both VAs are awesome, and have at least 2 voices, though I think that it's just because, like you said, when it works, stick with it

For Soul, I still say Cam Clarke would be good. Maybe Troy Baker.

I can imagine Michelle Ruff re-using her Salvatore voice. Other than that, Luci Christian comes to mind, I loved her in Soul Eater.

Karen Stressman would work as well I think, though I haven't heard her voice a sadistic character before, I think she has the voice for it

I dunno about Salvatore's voice. It was good, but... I don't think that accent would work for Sadie. She seems like she should be a lot... smoother. Like, a really sexy, teasing sort of voice, very definitely on the mature side.

Yeah, which is why I think Karen Stressman can pull it off, since she has pulled off a more seductive voice already...if you've watched Gun x Sword, you know what I mean

Trying to think of another character that might fit, seeing as I really can't think of many who voiced a flirty/sadistic character

Shameless bump, but a birdy just teased me some more...I have some hints now that has officially made me excited to hear Chou-Chou's VA in action

And yes, I'm officially saying that chances are, we won't guess Chou-Chou's in a million years...so I think we should switch to a different character for speculation, with Chou-Chou guessing on the side haha

For Chou-Chou, it seems that the VA has such a range that she is voiced by the same person in all forms, which is fine, and it's why I can't wait to hear her...I pretty much got 3 hints

As for Soul, it depends on how old they wanna make him sound I guess...Patrick Seitz and Troy Baker can pull off the older hero, and we've already heard Troy as Snow, so...he'd sorta work

If they're going for the younger voice, Shiloh Strong might work, along with Liam O'Brien (Though I see him more as an Elka (spelling?) than a Soul...it's kinda hard to pick without seeing more of Soul's personality

How could they NOT use Grant George for Elka? He's a Mid-Boss clone and he knows it.

Shiloh Strong won't happen, I don't think he's done anything in years... also he sounds like a black guy to me, which isn't wrong at all but voicing a clearly white character is off-sounding to me.

It's strange... I either want JYB to use his higher voice for Ryuto, or his lower voice for Soul... but not be both... Okay, got it. JYB's deeper voice for Soul and then Spike Spencer for Ryuto. That'd work for me.

Sounds fine to me, yeah...I was actually trying to avoid JYB for a heroic character, just because I'd probably get berated for even suggesting such a thing...but it would fit, I mean, his most well know roles are all hero types

I'm amazed that nobody has asked me the hints that I got about Chou-Chou's VA
