I'm actually pretty sure Mastiff still has rights. I can't really back that up, though.

Regardless of who has it, the game is solid. Disgaea improved on the systems some, but it's got some very neat ideas unique to it and the story/characters are fantastic.

Plus, commanding an army of level 2000+ Baals was fun.

It truely does. I mean, sure I learned about the game through Disgaea, but... atleast learn her name! Here's a hint. It's French for Prayer... I think.

It does. All the names are French. Salade is obvious, Prier is prayer, Croix is cross, Culotte is a kind of pants or shorts or something, etc.

...and then there are the pirates. Aren't they all named after sweets or something? I never did finish that LP I was watching a few years back. I was only watching because I thought I'd never play it... but...

Not really.

So the EU version is like the definitive version or something?
that blows, looks like I won't get to try that NG+ within anytime soon.
(especially considering Ragnarok is a no show)

- NIS first-party game

- Not contacting western branch

You know, I'm really beginning to wonder about this company.

Their ship, IIRC, was the Escargot, so snail. They're the Chocolat Gang, so chocolate (obviously). I forget any other names. I think it was just the main pirate cat that had one and I think his may be the one exception to all of this French name business. I can't remember his name, though.

The PSP version is the definitive version, but before that, yeah, the EU version, which was based on the JP rerelease, was the definitive version.

...that's not irony. Learn what the word means, I beg of you.

It's when something CONTRARY to the expected happens. We didn't expect to get La Pucelle AT ALL, so how would the version make it ironic?

It's not a broken version anyway. It's the original version. And it's also the only one that had ever been made when we got it (and, as a result, the only one released in North America which means it's the only one that can be put up as a PS2 Classic on the NA store).
