Tales of Graces F

I don't bother switching characters as the only ones I like are Asbel, Cheria, Sophie, and Pascal. Everybody else stays on the bench.

That's my team. Though I don't mind Malik at all.

That's generally the way I prefer to play Tales games. Two fighters, a healer and a black mage. It just so happens that Sophie and Cheria both play multiple roles as Fighter/Healer and Fighter/Mage/Healer respectively which facilitates things.

When you play Hard and higher... Sophie and Cheria are pretty much stuck with healer.

Here's my a replay very first try on the battle with K on hard.

/target the small fry first.
/K combo's and takes out most of my HP, Asbel
/K uses that gunshot skill. OHKO's Asbel with 2.8k HP after being healed..
/use Life Bottle on Asbel with Hubert.
/K kills Cheria instantly in one combo.
/kills minor enemies.
/K Kills Hubert.
/uses Life Bottle on Cheria.
/K kills me again in one shot (wtf?)
/uses Life Bottle
/mobs spawn
/K and mob kills Cheria
/uses Life Bottle with Sophie on Asbel
/K kills Sophie after item use
/Life Bottle on Cheria.
/made Cheria use Resurrection for the first time. I think it revived both Hubert and Sophie unless I was seeing things.
/kill mobs
/K kills both Asbel and Hubert... with one attack...
/K uses his Mystic Art and owns Cheria
/attempts to use Life Bottle, Kurt kills Sophie
/fail.

My CPU members... can't survive.... let alone dodge on their own. Cheria and Sophie are stuck spamming heal spells. Hubert (CPU) attempting to attack K is like running into a tank's cannon.

is cheap. And as far as Tales games go I play them for the story not the OMFG this is painfully hard difficulty. I only play on Normal.

Yea I was doing that too but then it got... a bit too easy... literally, every fight was less than 5~10 seconds other than boss fights. I can't say I was enjoying that. I don't know when each boss will appear, I can usually guess after a save point, but I don't change my difficulty for them unless they own me like 2~3 times.

Also a lot easier to mastery/rank up titles on harder difficulty as well as get items.

EDIT: And so far the game has been pretty easy, except for that boss you fight shortly after the Adult Arc begins. First time I actually had to use healing items.

Yeah, K is the hardest boss so far in my game. So here's how I beat him. Always focus on minions first because they will hinder your team mates from using B-artes and heal. Always have K focus on you because you're the only one who can dodge and run from him while your team mates use B-artes to support you. Don't ever let K to focus any of your team because they will get owned easily.

Always prepare enough life bottle to resurrect your team when one of them get owned by K's mystic arte.

Well, not everybody can play ToX in Japanese. I wish to play it myself but it's pointless when I can't read anything. In your opinion, how's ToX compared to ToG:F?

Battle wise it's probably the best out of all Tales. You really enjoy the battle system unless you fight a boss. Everything else is............ well, Vesperia and Graces F are doing a better job. As a standalone game it's good, compared to the other recent Tales games it loses badly to them. But like they said, they had a lot of content cut out, so who knows maybe a directers cut version will follow.

OOoook...of course I don't really consider that to be a good thing since I play them for enjoyment not cheap difficulty.
