Putting it on the 360 isnt growing the brand. Its selling it out and in some ways making negative compromises.

the main reason Final Fantasy XIII shipped on 3 discs for 360 is because the cutscenes were videos and not being rendered in-game. it is a lot more efficient and economical to render cutscenes in-game, which is what FFXIII-2 will be doing. and guess what, the 360 version will be on only one disc!

Not sure if you're saying this game can't be done on 360, but there are only negative compromises when there is a poorly job done port with 0 Optimizations. ie. XIII 360 Port. With simultaneous development that is eliminated.stealth20k wrote:Theoretically it would be on at least 3
Not exactly. Like XIII-2 it cut down on its FMV. Size of actual game data isn't that huge. :/

1_) The comprimizes had nothing to do with the optimization. It had everything to do with the disk format.
2) 13-2 is like that, versus is not. There is FMV's

Comparing 13 to versus isn't a good comparison in my mind since versus is an action RPG with large field maps that have many enemies attacking at once. I'm sure it could probably fit on a DVD with really good compression but don't think the 360 has the processing power that's going to be needed to run it properly.
I could be wrong though and if they can get it to work on both then that's fine with me.

Clarify the first one for me. xD
2) Wrong. They've stated many times before they've cut down on a lot of the CGI and made them real-time. XIII-2 is doing this as well they are using similar methods. From that assumption it would also be just 1 disc or 2.
