Hopefully when this game DOES come out, it is good, if not, I'll probably lose faith in the FF series...since BBS and the like are supposedly good, I'll probably give KH another try if the HD collection thing is true

Birth by Sleep is great, Days... I'd pass judgement only on an HD version of it. Since I hate it on the DS.

I'll just say that BBS is the one that looks like it'd be the more interesting game anyways...so even if they just make a 1, 2, and BBS collection, I'd be happy

I think Days has better story but if you're more of a gameplay person you'd be better off with BBS (though I think you should get both and completely pass on Re:coded though)

More articles are surfacing this week that the game has been cancelled and that programmers moved on different teams like Final Fantasy 13's saga, Kingdom Hearts and probably Final Fantasy 15's.

I take it some characters and things from Versus might be recycled in Final Fantasy XIII-3, if it ever happens. It would make sense that Lightning meets Noctis and his gang in the end of the world... or the timeline. It would fit with the whole FNC mythology if they do this well. Stella could pretty much be a new seeress or whatever. There's probably still some hope left for this game, only not like we wanted it to be.

Not really; notice how in both IGN's article and the video, they only cite Kotaku's article. I don't think Kotaku is especially known for being reliable, so it's still up in the air.

I was actually liking the character designs...and the change to action gameplay...so hopefully they re-use the characters at least if it actually IS cancelled

well it's still just a rumor, but honestly, this was to be expected.
It's pretty unheard of for a game to be in development, not even completed, for over 6 years after announcing it.

I wouldn't mind if they just derailed the whole Verus 13 thing and renamed it to FFXV honestly.

Noctis, Stella...and the male character who's name escapes me are some of the best FF designs I've seen in a long time, if it does get cancelled, and they don't re-use the characters in something else, I'll be disappointed

I heard somewhere else that XV would have a different game designer and would look like a blend of Final Fantasy 6, 9, 12 and Vagrant Story.
