I'm guessing that it was to prevent what happens with most non-region locked games...I know Tales of Graces f was imported by a few Europeans because they couldn't wait half a year

Yup...though there were clips for a few characters, I'm going into this blind, so I have no clue what to expect when it comes to characters, their voices, age, etc

It has always been on consumers to secure a sequel for any series.
