And additionally, Tsuchiya has answered that La Ciela is also part of EXA_PICO's universe. In other words, for those that aren't familiar with Ar tonelico's wave science, that means that both La Ciela and Ar Ciel exist in the same universe.

Wow, I just noticed that they do refer to the songs as hymmnos...given that at the bottom of the picture in the cast it says "Hymmnos Trailer Akiko Shikata"...at least I think that second word is 'trailer'.

I guess that makes me way out of the loop...LOL

Yeah, I thought that too, but I wasn't certain if it was just a concept they liked or if they wanted it to be in the Ar tonelico world/universe...

It's definitely the same universe. It's got the hymmnos, similar technology and architecture, and it even uses a lot of the same vocabulary (from what I can tell)

We already have the official confirmation of it being on the same universe. However, the technology isn't the same: there aren't any Reyvateils (Song Magic is used by people that have made a pact with a Genome, from what I've read) and they don't seem to be relying on Symphonic Power as their energy source. Additionally, the language is completely different and aside of possibly "hyu-me", I haven't seen any similarity to any of the Ar Ciel languages.
