No in growlanser 4 you spend more time outside battles because sidequests, vacations, plot scenes, characters quests, etc.

unlike lets say FF tactics.

Already got my pre-order in. I hope that if this fares well that they will localize the first as well and possibly Atlus JP will see that it has a fanbase and possibly either a) make more ports or b) continue the series (and we get those localized). Not sure if VI 'finished' the series or not but they could always make it's 'spiritual successor' or something like it. I adore satoshi urushihara's artwork, it's so beautiful!

A sequel isnt more likely but i would love to be proven wrong. a spiritual successor would be great as long as they keep this:

1- Satoshi Urushihara Art
2- Relationship system
3- Silent Protagonist (Wein is much a stereotype with his "want to serve the kingdom " thing)
4- Mission complete, clear and failed conditions
5- Multiple endings

Yeah, that's what I meant as spiritual and all. I don't think I'd be quite as enthused with a series if they lacked one of those. Especially 1, 2 and 5. Plus don't forget romance options and a fairy companion.

Well I think 6 might have been the ending but I'm not to sure.

Growlanser 6 only get closure for Growlanser 5, the only slightly reference in the game for other Growlanser games is that Carmaine story had become a fairy tale.

relationships tend to end in romance dont they, here is the things that a Growlanser game must have (This was a comparison of Grow 2 from other Growlansers:

-There is no Fairy
Is a staple in growlanser as anoying as most they are they still are necessary for a game to be called growlanser.
-Worst hero ever
Wein is the most useless hero since if he dies game over. All others heroes can be k.od and still they can return to battle and Wein well is not a real growlanser:
Carmaine:
Spoiler:
he is needed to create the power stone and to defeat gevel.

Slayn:
Spoiler:
Witouth him is imposible to defeat Zion.

Crevaniel:
Spoiler:
He is needed to defeat angels and Vester
.
Zeonzilt:
Spoiler:
Witouth him is imposible to defeat the Queen Screaper (Altough jamie has the ultrasonic wave she is not as strong as zeonzilt) and Ziekwalt.

Merlich:
Spoiler:
He is needed to return 2000 years ago and to defeat infinitor (since he is an alien he must be stronger than humans).

Wein: Well you dont need to be special to kick Max and Wolfgang ass.
-Not silent protagonist
Since the moment wein said "Excuse me" the growlanser feel died. Many of you hate the silent protagonist but that is a must feature in a growlanser.
-Old party member
Gl1 Wallace-Gl3 Victor-Gl4 Hien-Gl5 Randall-Gl6 Hoffman-Gl2 None
-Colisseum
There is a coliseum in gl2 but is not as elaborated as the other ones (ie create a stronger party)

B-But I love the fairies! T^T Their so adorable!

I have a feeling though if they did continue the series it would probably be on the Vita or possibly the next gen playstation console.

Only grow 2 deprived us of a Fairy. i like fairies too, Tippi is annoying as hell but she has a charm that overshadow her annoyingness.

IF WoT sells well that could happen . But Raymi or Type DLM in WoT japanese are annoyingness personified.
