Your First Games for Every System

A place for everybody to talk about anything game-related.

See how many I can remember here...

PC: I don't remember exactly but it was some collection of SSI games. It had Dungonon Hack, Stronghold, and some other games. I think a couple set in the Dark Sun universe. Had a few of these collections, so those might have been in a different one.

Atari 2600: Got this with a number of different games from somebody. Don't really remember any of them, never found them to be much fun.

NES: Discounting the bundled Mario/Duck Hunt, I'm pretty sure it was Tetris I played the that like crazy until I got Final Fantasy and turned me into an RPG nut.

SNES: Again discounting Mario, this was Megaman X and/or Street Fighter 2 (the first one, none of the Super Extra Neon-Lime-Green Championship Turbo editions). I've never seen a FF 2 (4) cart, and FF 3 wasn't out yet.

N64: Mario, Mario Kart, Starfox, Zelda. Any of those that were launch titles we got. Then we gave away the system and got a Playstation.

PS1: FF 8. The only game I've ever bought before a system. I went over to my cousin's house to play it, but never saved until we actually got the PS1.

PS2: Eternal Ring and The Bouncer. ER was terrible, Bouncer was OK. Pretty sure we got another game or two also but I don't remember. Wasn't too impressed until FF 10.

PS3: Trinity Universe maybe? That or Star Ocean 4. It was a long time before there were enough games I wanted to buy a PS3.

GameBoy: Zelda Link's Awakening I'm pretty sure. Never played portables much until the PSPgo, don't like the small screen, cramped controls, or carrying games around.

GBA: Castlevania CotM, and I think I got Pokemon Gold and Silver at the same time.

PSP: Prinny 1 and Fate/Unlimited Codes. At first I was just going to get shorter games because its a portable, so I grabbed a platformer and a fighter. Ended up buying mostly RPGs anyway.

I think that's everything. Its hard to remember the first games, since none of them are my favorites. Some of them have been a long time now, and I don't exactly have the best memory either.

They still do :p EVERY Wii has come with either Wii Sports/Resort/NSMB/Mario Kart. DS is the only one that gets holiday bundles ONLY. And really, Gameboys have never always had games with them. Unless you bought the original grey ones that came with Tetris, every other ones only got limited bundles as well.

Well, I meant more in reference to the systems that I actually own(ed). The NES and SNES came with games, but PS1, PS2, PSP, Gameboy Pocket, GBA, DS, PSP did not. I'm not sure about launch PS3s (did they all come with Pain?), but I specifically waited for the MGS4 bundle to get my PS3 for the game and DualShock 3. The PSVita will only come with a game if you get a special bundle, I believe the WiFi only model does not come with a game.

I will try, but this will be quite the hard one...

Atari : Joust
PC : Some kind of Museum history game I think? (Trying to remember back in the 95 days is pretty hard...)
NES : Duck Hunt maybe?
SNES : Super Mario Land (I only remember this because it was a part of the present that our parents got us with the Super Nintendo, since they had it all set up in our room and turned on without us knowing it. was a pretty awesome and well done Christmas Present. They were good at stuff like that ~)
Genesis : Sonic I'm fairly certain.
N64 : Quest64...I think?
Gameboy : Pokemon Blue
Gameboy Color : Pokemon Yellow
Gameboy Advance : No clue. Played too many roms, so I lost track of what games I actually played on it.
Gameboy Advance SP : Megaman Battle Network I think
Dreamcast : Phantasy Star I think?
Gamecube : I just can't recall right now.
PSX : Twisted Metal
PS2 : I have no freakin clue. There are waaaay too many PS2 games.
PS3 : Folklore
360 : Blue Dragon I'm pretty sure.
DS : I think...Jump Ultimate Stars.
PSP : Moeru Moejong (Yes, my very first PSP game was an import :P )
Vita : Will be Corpse Party ~
Wii : I'm not sure...I've bought and sold four of them, it's hard to keep track of what I did with my first...

Underlined systems are systems which were actually considered mine. A lot of the game systems were shared between us three brothers.

PC: I have no clue. The first games I remember playing on our old Compaq was Sonic CD, which I still have. Might have been Ages of Empires now that I think about it, not so sure though...
NES: The Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle - My dad got it when he bought another NES a couple years after I was born. Supposedly I tried playing it at the age of three.
SNES: Yoshi's Island - Begged for this as a little kid, or so my parents say. We were at Funcoland, I think it was, I saw it and wanted it. Begged actually.
N64: Banjo-Kazooie - TECHNICALLY it was Super Mario 64, but that came with my N64 so I can get away with this. Banjo-Kazooie, best N64 series ever, those who haven't played it... DO IT NOW. I've poured HUNDREDS possibly THOUSANDS of hours into both Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie throughout my years.
Gameboy: Donkey Kong - don't remember why I got it. Probably all my parents could find at the time.
Gameboy Color: BOMBERMAN - the one where he had a whip, and the catapult and whatnot. Loved that game.
Gameboy Advance: Mario Gold Advance Tour
Gamecube: Starfox Adventures
PS2: Kingdom Hearts II
Wii: Super Smash Bros Brawl
DS: Mario Hoops 3-on-3
3DS: Dead or Alive: Dimensions
PSP: Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep - Imported it as my FIRST PSP game, only reason I got a PSP.
PS3: BlazBlue: Continuum Shift
Xbox 360: Sonic the Hedgehog (Next Gen)
