This is seriously the only thing people ever freaken talk about. It's like an entire history of dubbing games means nothing because of 1 or 2 games.

Maybe if they just stopped doing dubs it wouldn't be an issue anymore! Gosh.

The game being dual audio has nothing to do with the amount we voice, it has to do with the overall line count of each game.

In this case, we likely won't be voicing everything, but it will be a significant amount.

DR2 is fully voiced, Battle Princess will be Japanese only, and Neptunia PP...I'm not actually sure.

Maybe if they stopped translating text as well, that would also end up fixing a lot of problems. Geez, it only makes sense, right?

I'm being sarcastic in case someone actually takes me seriously.

You know what shadow?

People should just stop making games altogether!

Then we wouldn't even have to worry about other languages or dubs or anything.

We could just imagine it!

I'm always playing! Why, just the other day, I imagined the entire established cast of Neptunia, protagonists, villains and all, using the giant robot villains, the goddesses' HDD states, flying pets and transforming landmarks and whatnot to rocket off into space to confront a planet-sized dragon that's headed towards Gamindustri all to the tune of Rise of a Digital Nation!

Huh? Then, wouldn't Elyn have made more sense?
Ah, oh well.

Doesn't Eryn sound pretty boyish too? Not that it's a big deal or anything, but going from Alan to Erin...doesn't really solve the whole "sounds like a boy's name" issue (unless I'm still pronouncing "Erin" wrong).

Eh, oh well. I'm not up to restarting a debate that already happened pages ago. I'll get used to It just like I got used to Plutia I guess =P

Out of curiosity, half? Three quarters? Or is it yet to be nailed down?

If you don't mind my asking--why not?

Though please don't misunderstand; I'm not complaining. I'm actually just curious what the process is for deciding what does or doesn't get voiced, and what the reasons and determining factors are in that decision.

You mentioned the overall line count. Is there some issue when it comes to hiring voice actors/actresses where the budget alloted for the localization won't allow for a complete dub because they're paid per line, instead of per hour? Or is there some other factor at play?

Of course, I'll understand if company policy won't allow you to divulge that information.
But I figured it couldn't hurt to ask.
