What do catgirls have to do with this?

I just found Tali and Garrus to be the most interesting. Kaidan was basically jumping for my character from the beginning. It's rather boring when someone starts jumping at you right away, unless done for comedic purposes of course. Liara felt less forward, but still seemed too forward. I just like subtle, slow growing relationships more I guess?

Now now, I'm not knocking anthropomorphic love. I liked Tali too, after all. Most people would just consider it an unusual fixation. You know, the way they consider people that carry around body pillows unusual.

Oh, I realize that entirely, I was just saying that catgirls and alien girls are completely different. You would be the last person I think to criticize someone for liking something unusual. You may play with their heads a bit, and give them a reason to flare up sometimes, but you are pretty tolerant from what I've read of your posts. Of course, that has little bearing on who you are IRL, but in this 'world' we've created here, you are a very tolerant individual.

I liked Tali, even in ME1. In ME2, her romance route is just adorable. She's my favorite character, by far.

She is truly adorable. She's my second favourite after Garrus. Her writer was really surprised that so many people wanted to romance her though. They didn't think anyone would want to romance a character with "Chicken Feet".

Anything could happen. They didn't make Garrus or Tali love interests in ME1 because they didn't think anyone would find them attractive enough to romance.

That's rather silly, considering I found those to be the most prospective partners out of everyone in ME 1. They also seemed to have the most interesting character development. I felt more like I was getting into a real relationship With Tali/Garrus than any of the other characters.

Yeah. As I said before, they really benefit from a whole game's worth of non-romance character development. In a Bioware game, you only get a certain number of conversations with each character, and if you add a romance on top of that it usually feels like they're trying to jump you.

However in Tali and Garrus' case you actually get to know them, and form a relationship based on friendship and mutual respect. It makes the progression to lovers much more natural and interesting, since you're already familiar with each other. Bioware unintentionally made those two the most "realistic" romances in the game. Speaking from personal experience, I'd already had a bit of a crush on Garrus during ME1, but I'd thought it was totally hopeless, so you can imagine how psyched I was when I found out that Bioware might be giving him his own romance in ME2.

According to the publication, the hotly anticipated RPG kicks off on earth, with hero Shepard on trial following the events of Mass Effect 2’s latest and last chunk of DLC, Arrival. The brown stuff soon hits the fan, though; Reapers begin their invasion as the hearing gets underway...

Apparently, the Cerberus organisation from ME2 is out to kill Shepard, with the Illusive Man poised to feature heavily in the events of the third game...

Shepard will be accompanied by returning squaddies such as Garrus and Liara, with Kaiden and Ashley also showing up depending on your choices made in the inaugural Mass Effect. Meanwhile, Wrex, Mordin, Legion and Anderson will appear as non-party characters...

Newcomers will be able to digest a ‘Previously on Mass Effect’ comic that allows them to make decisions a la Mass Effect 2 PS3’s interactive comic. Mass Effect 3 will boast multiple endings, influenced by who you sign-up for your team...

Elsewhere, RPG components will be kicked up a notch, though won’t quite revert back to Mass Effect 1’s template. Players will be given more freedom in regards to character skills though, as skill trees will be larger and powers can evolve multiple times over...

Weapons are based on ME2, though you’ll also have access to various mods that allow you to swap out various gun parts, including barrels and scopes. Classes meanwhile go unhindered in terms of weapons, though you’ll be limited in terms of how much you can carry...

No multiplayer will be included in the game, but according to the article summary, the developers informed GI that it may consider adding the feature for future titles or spin-offs.

I'm kinda disappointed neither Legion nor Wrex are Squadmates. ;_;

The Mass Effect trilogy is Commander Shepard's story however, so human involvement is kind of unavoidable.
Also, I don't think the first one was really about Humans too much, and the only reason behind the whole Earth thing is because Shepard has messed up the Reapers' plans, which have stood unbroken for countless cycles, so badly they want payback. They've already failed on one account and so have decided to go for the entire human race instead, and have done away with the subtleties now as well.
"Plan D" is officially a go.

Though I did like the fact Earth was actually completely insignificant in the first two games.

But by the looks of it, it kinda looks like the story will concentrated on Earth the whole time
One of the things I'm really looking forward to is seeing how we can resolve the conflict between the Geth and the Quarians, especially since my Shepard is romanced with Tali
But with the whole "Reaper invading Earth" thing, I can't really see that at the moment :/

Yeah, I'm a bit worried about the wording as well. At least Garrus has confirmed squaddie status, I hope we get him for the whole game.

Pretty hyped about ME 3 now.

I actually enjoyed my vanguard more than any of the other classes, the high risk/high reward idea is pretty fun. I finished my insanity playthrough with a claymore vanguard. Charge is great if you know how to use it properly. I have a distaste towards camping behind cover so playin as a vanguard was quite refreshing :3

Well, I'm personally hoping Tali and/or Kasumi will be playable as they were some of the more interesting characters IMO. I'd really like some kind of space exploration and to travel to the Quarian homeworld. What about you?

I didn't let him kill the guy (sidonis). The first time I did the mission, I was actually considering letting him do it. It made sense, Sidonis betrayed him and killed his squad, he had a right to his revenge. However the whole Harkin episode set off warning bells, and the conversation in the car reinforced that. Garrus was just using revenge as an excuse to assuage his guilt, like in the first game with Dr. Saleon. After that, it wasn't really a question of saving Sidonis, but of saving Garrus, and Shepard was the only person who could've done that. The conversation after you convince him not to shoot was pitch-perfect. Garrus' loyalty mission has got to be my favourite.

Well, I'm personally hoping Tali and/or Kasumi will be playable as they were some of the more interesting characters IMO. I'd really like some kind of space exploration and to travel to the Quarian homeworld. What about you?

I liked Kasumi too, and it's a shame she didn't really get any dialogue. Tali's a cutie, and I hope I'll be able to peacefully resolve the whole Quarian-Geth thing in ME3, since I like Legion a lot as well.

I want to see Palaven. I love Turian culture in general (They're space Romans!) and I want to see what a whole planet full of Turians would look like. I'd also love to see a Salarian world. Mordin was one of my favourite ME2 squaddies, and even if he doesn't return as a teammate I'd like him to have a big part in ME3.

I honestly liked all the ME2 characters, and I'd be ecstatic to see them return. Garrus gets priority, but I'd also like to see Ash again, we were BFFs in ME1. I ended up liking Miranda way more than I thought I would, so I'm hoping she's back as well. Then there's Tali, of course, she was on my team a lot in ME2 and I love her sense of humour. I also want Wrex back, even if it's only for one mission. He and Garrus were my ground team in ME1, and I miss him.

I liked seeing Liara in LotSB, but she also makes me rather uncomfortable. I turned her down in ME1, (for an awkward nerd she came on really strong) then she pretty much ensures that I get brought back to life, we go after the Shadow Broker together, and she hits on me again. I mean, I'm grateful, but the woman just can't take "no" for an answer. I do like her as a friend, however.

If I may ask, who did you romance (or perhaps you just didn't do one)?

I actually killed him the first time and felt horrible for doing it. On the playthrough I'm planning to carry over, I let him live and it was nice to see a regular person who's just afraid of death rather than a cold blooded murderer.

The addition of the homeworlds for all races would be great. It would be interesting idea if you had to go to each planet to gather an army to defend earth or what not. Seriously doubt that'll happen but oh well XD
Totally for resolving the Quarian-Geth conflict peacefully. On that note, Tali's loyalty mission was probably my favourite. Loved Shepard's speech~

Lol'd at the part I put in bold XD. I thought the LotSB had some pretty funny moments (The car chase and Liara giving the enemy tactical advice~) but I was never a big fan of Liara. That might've been because I never played the first game D;

I romanced Miranda the first time round. Her scene was a total disappointment to me. Less romance, more booty call. Decided to go with Tali after that and I loved how shy she was. Not to mention her romance scene is a total tease! What about yerself?

I mostly play Femsheps (being a woman myself) and I romanced the hell out of Garrus when I found out that he was an option. He was my favourite character back in ME1 and over the course of the game I found that I'd developed a bit of a crush on him. It happened so gradually that I can't really pinpoint when. He was just such a cool character (and that voice could make anything sound sexy). He's dinosaur Dirty Harry in space! Of course, when I got to ME2 and found out that he'd made the jump to dinosaur Batman there was no going back.

EDIT: Also, Legion is indeed the best Geth ever. It sucks that we only really got one mission with him.
