there's a theme too huh? Was it added fairly recently? I've been away from PSN lately so haven't checked in a while.

I'm curious as well, as after I got the hang of it, I totally loved the game.

Holy thread resurrection Batman!

...but in all seriousness, anyone get their copy? If so how is it? Is the LE worth it? There is an LE copy sitting at the game store for 7500 right now, just not sure if it is worth it.

Looks neat, but I'm incredibly doubtful of the ability of a bullet-hell shmup to move a worthwhile number of units at $60 in the states

i dunno, i hear Radien IV and Deathsmiles did well. so much so, that Cave is apparently going to self-publish Deathsmiles 2 in the US.

Or you could look at it as Raiden IV and Deathsmiles did so poorly that the respective publishers (Aksys most notably) gave up on the genre entirely, to the point where Cave will have to publish Deathsmiles 2 themselves because no American publisher will touch it. Weren't some post-Deathsmiles Cave shmups region-free? That says a lot...

Anyway, for Mamoru-kun, I figured it'd have to be a PSN title. It'll bomb at retail, especially if it's $60.

you guys are too pessimistic. it looks more accessible to new players than your average shmup, the graphics are also better and it has a good soundtrack and appealing artwork. All NISA would have to do is package it with a CD and artbook (which they do with almost every game anyway) and i think it'd sell fine. Maybe not as well as Neptunia, but i think it'd at least sell as well as Trinity Universe. they can even use the fact that it's a PS3-exclusive shmup to their advantage, shmup fans are practically starving on the PS3.
