Same. The PC version was a blast to play. I'll probably play this more than any other 3DS game I plan on buying.

Cave Story is the PC freeware game. When I heard that a portable adaptation would be made by NISA, I knew that was a game I had to own.

NISA is the producer and publisher of the game. The people actually making the game are Nicalis, the same people who created the WiiWare adaption.

it does look pretty cool i hope that they have an original mode to this as well so you can play the old game as well as this remake. I'll admit this is temping me into getting a 3ds among other games

According to NP you play as a prinny, least that's what I understand.

Will admit my biggest complaint though is the boxart, holy crap the main characters look ugly as sin. (Is it still considered a big spoiler to say their names?) Every official image Pixl drew back then had them fully fleshed out humanoid robots and the big head teeny body thing was just a sprite style that worked, the official art mimicing the sprites is just kinda, creepy? Yeah. creepy.
