PSP vs PS2

Postby BigNutter » Fri Mar 18, 2011 12:59 pm

OK, Guys, I own the PS2 Version and I've not done much with it. (I'm not even sure I've even got a Save file, I only remember playing with it for a an hour or two, at best.)

What's the differences between the PS2 version VS the PSP.

I am aware of that the PSP has:

Another Morona Mode. Which like is Etna/Axel Mode in D1/D2 PSP.
New "Cameo" Characters, NIS "Regulars" Prinny Hero and Asagi.

Any more?

You can link your PSP on a TV, so that's not a difference.

Being as the PsP came out last, and thus has the most content, and he has the Ps2 (not the Wii), it would be more appropriate to put PsP vs Ps2.

Good luck with the PsP version! I don't think I will be getting it. I want it, but I have the Wii version. I beat it on the Ps2, too. I already beat Disgaea 1 three times, and 2 2 times, so I don't want to go for 3 on this game lol.

Good choice, you haven't really played the game and you have an arguably inferior version.
The PSP version will definitely be fun for anyone without the Wii version. The portability factor for Phantom Brave: THT alone is great, much less Another Marona and the 5 completely new characters.

I live in the UK, we have not seen the Wii Version released locally. I know some UK players have imported and Modded their Wii to play US games.

The good news is that I also have the Free Music CD that came with the PS2 version.

Well then I imagine PB portable actually sold decently well there because it is actually like an enhanced port to the PS2 version, as opposed to an inferior port to the Wii version with 5 new characters.

I never got either version and decided to wait for the inevitable PSP port, so for me, I got the best version(because new characters beats better load times and such to me) without having to worry about the feeling that I did it all before. I was hoping they would port Makai Kingdom so I could play the enhanced port as a new game as well.

I have all 3 versions >>

I'd say the psp version is the best. Not only does it have additional content, but it also finally has new game +

I really didn't like the item fusion on the wii version. It was lacking certain critical information.

what do you mean? The wii version has a new game +

anyway, at least now Makai Kingdom is getting the PSP port it deserves, and it will unquestionably be the best version

You really should. Phantom Brave is one of my favorite NISA games. (Then again, I like all nisa localized games but... Last Rebellion. The Reverse difficulty curve got to me.)
