Toradora getting blu-ray release in Japan; Will include OVA

As for Blu-ray in America, it is possible since Japan has it, but may not be anytime soon. Though since NISA does have these dvd/Blu-ray combo packs coming out, maybe if does sell well, then maybe might get the Blu-ray version of Toradora sooner.

I just got finished watching all 25 episodes on Youtube and was going to purchase them....but after seeing this i'll wait and hope for the BR release....never mind that Part 1 is sold out here.....

I thought Lucky Star and K-ON were both excellent animes.......but i was totally unaware of what Toradora! was going to bring to the table.

I don't know what shocked me more....how much of myself i identified with Ryuji.....or knowing from the beginning what was going to happen and still finding myself becoming emotional about the characters in the anime, or the fact that i actually had tears in my eyes at times. (No...i didn't know anything in advance when i started watching it).

I watched episodes 23-25 over and over......honestly, i haven't seen a movie as good as this anime in years. The Christmas song in season 2 was simply incredible.....

Localization of games and anime truly are two of the greatest gifts we have been given here in NA. I guess that is one of the biggest reasons i love NISA. All i can hope for is to see the NA BR release and it's as good as purchased....if not i can always hope that they restock Toradora Set #1.

I just got the pre-order email from NISA this morning....thanks for the heads up, though. I have to be careful how i spend my money nowadays, that's why i pointed out if i should wait for the Blu ray release. I'd settle for English subs....I prefer English VA for games, but for some reason i like the Jp VA and English subs for anime.

There's just something about the Jp female VAs in animes.....I love Lucky Star but i couldn't handle the English VAs for it....as much as i respect the ladies who did the English VA it just wasn't the same.

This is a real tough choice as i can support NISA at the same time, but if they do manage to get the BRD localization then i might not be able to afford it as well. I do prefer the BRD as opposed to DVDs....i take very good care of my games and movie disks, but the draw of BRD being a hell of a lot harder to scratch makes it a much better decision.

Is there anything else in this vein of anime that you could suggest? I'm so addicted to this that i came home this morning and started watching it again....but i had to stop myself......

I never thought something like this could change a person's view on life.....

@Daverost.....It would be cool to get a avatar of Taiga in the maid outfit she wore in the Valentine's day episode.....she looked incredible in that outfit.
