Is my point of view really so hard too grasp? Im buying XIII-2 because I wanna see the gang again. Of course I care about the new people but the old cast coming back helps greatly. Same applies too mk2. If they did 3 id be happy. I'd get it. Put Neptune and co back in and I'd be even more willing too instantly get it.

I agree with Zero on the getting games because of my favorite characters are playable in them. There's nothing wrong with that as long as it's well executed.

Well I just read a crappy translation of the interview and it says:

"So many familiar scenes grin If you are familiar with the game."

Which sounds like... remade scenes, possibly?

I just can't understand it, that's all. They had their time, they're having their time again; it's, quite honestly, not fair to the new cast for them to take up their space and their screentime. Having a favorite is fine, but not to the point that it detracts from other characters. That's just blatant fanboyism. It'd be like saying: "You know what would be cool! If Zetta went around in every N1 game, kicked EVERY main character's butt, and became the new main character!"

Sure, in side-stories (usually starring Laharl instead of the much more awesome and superior Zetta - see, I have favorites too) this kind of thing can work, but if you put that right in the main story, well... It's just not that fair. Not to mention that, usually, a character gets all their growth in their game. When they're put in sequels over and over, their growth usually ends up being subtracted so their "hilarious unlikeable character quirks" can interact with new characters.

Hell, this is exactly what DLC/extra scenarios are for. If Neptunia really becomes a success enough to warrant a third game, be it a sequel or another reboot, that would be perfect for this kind of thing.

@Mizu: Sounds to me like we may get redone scenes, yeah. Maybe with the sisters instead of the goddesses?

How is Lightining, Rorona or Purple Heart detracting from Serah, Totori, and Purple sis if the latter you spend the bulk of the game with, are the are stars of the game? Dunno bout you but look forward too Nepgear talking too her sister. Same as the others.

I wouldn't mind a character take on Atlus. Maybe Atlus-chan would be a regal tsundere or a mischievious intellectual (i.e. Jade Curtiss - Tales of the Abyss). Or maybe Atlus could be bi-polar (b/c of the serious side of their games (SMT games) and the easy-going/mischievous Jack Frost/Pyro Jack company mascots)

So long as you are aware there is no such thing as a male character in a Neptunia game, or any game set in Gamindustri for that matter.

Bioware chan could be extremely void of personality, but people still think she's full of personality cause they're crazy. And Obsidian-chan would be very, VERY clumsy. Like soooooo clumsy. CRAZY CLUMSY. And she'd have to be fixed up a lot.

It more like girl to boy than boy to girl. Normally outside of battle, Bioware and Obsidian are girls but due to some random reason, they turn to guys until after the battle. Aside from the occassional blooper...
