Postby CyberFox » Tue Sep 13, 2011 2:57 pm

it's a musical title like the Project Diva series although it plays differently.

I support this, plus I like that adorable Nendoroid-style look. With Nintendo 3DS's region lock, I can't import it like I did with the Project Diva PSP games with the PS3 Dreamy Theater DLC they had.

uh, you guys realize this has virtually no chance, right? music licensing is expensive and they'd have to pay for the Miku license too...

If you really want this, bug SEGA and Viz (Viz handles the licensing for all things Miku in the US)

Registered to show my support for this. Although since I am in Europe, I'll add that I'd want a European release. But it needs to be released outside of Japan at least.

Vocaloid music is expensive? I don't know what world you live in, but here only Supercell has been caught by the greedy MAAFIA.
Since there's no middleman to demand a huge piece of the cake, it costs substantially less than say Guitar Hero etc.

But I don't see how that is a hindrance. They'd acquire the rights from SEGA to translate and publish the game outside of Japan, paying licensing fees. SEGA in turn pays royalties where due.

You know what, I agree, this would be a fun game to localize, although I never really got into the vocaloid thing like alot of other peeps I know did, this does look like a entertaining title, and since VIZ got Hatsu Miku rights for the U.S. not to long ago, localizing a game for the franchise doesn't seem that far fetched.

I'm not sure where you're getting the idea that acquiring third-party rights, negotiating licensing fees, and managing royalty payments isn't a hindrance.

Thought it might be a good idea to give some more links:

I meant that it's basically business as usual, and not some special situation that makes it impossible to bring it over from Japan.

This game needs to be localized for the US market
We need to show that gamers need more than fighters, GTA Clones and FPS games

I agree, this game should be localize. People love Hatzune Miku and alot of people lwish to have her games.
I think that the game will sell very well on USA because it will atract alot of people, not only gamers but casual gamers also. so it will be AWESOME!

just one thing...

keep the game as the game was make it. because the most failing thing will be that bring the game and change her musics. ( like "pop'n music" did)

If the game came as it was create it, It WILL BE A BLAST !!!!!!

Yea, if this gets localized they should definitely keep the music the same. And I think the game might do decent if it gets localized. Miku is getting increasingly more popular in america with the Toyota commercials, getting an English voice bank, and had a concert that sold out very quickly. Also, this game will probably appeal to a female audience and nintendo is trying to get more female buyers. And if it's not localized, I rlly hope that Sega doesn't region lock it (I head that it was the developers choice to region lock a game or not)

P.S. Cremia, that image was so epic I needed to steal it for my sig xD
