I find that stupid. It's like "Troloolooolol we are working on this super duper awesome game, but we are not releasing it in the next 3 years. Have fun waiting for it ; )"

And they end up disappointing. At least Duodecim and The 3rd Birthday did for me as so much expectation built up for it... They did the right thing with XIII-2 announcing it almost a year before its release.

Dissidia 012: Duodecim was actually announced on September 2010 and the game was released on March 2011. I'd call that pretty much perfect announcement.

If it took longer than that, SQEX will have to reconsider having that team working on any game at all. since the game was pretty much an expansion of the original Dissidia.
