Is there any chance NISA will return to hardcover artbooks, like what came with Rorona, AT3, and Neptunia?

Depends on the game. Hardcover art books cost more to produce and include, which means we have to sell more copies of the game to make up that cost. If we think a game will sell more, we include a hardcover book. If we don't think that, we don't.

Ah, alright. I assumed Disgaea 4 was SC because of the other extras and thought it was a permanent shift when I saw Totori had a softbound. Thanks for the clarification.

I'm still waiting on a World of Disgea 3, and now World of Disgaea 4 in the same format as the first two. Any chance of that happening as Broccoli Books is no more?

Oh Broccoli, so sad its gone, and left us out to dry, I was so looking foward to furutre Disgaea Artbooks, Manga & the Light Novels from them..but then they left us. Now we have no one to give us our Disgaea Publications. That is unless NISA does it themselves...or can get someone like UDON to do it. (I mean guys have done pretty good work on the Capcom Artbooks & manga.)

I don't have it yet, but Disgaea 4 doesn't have a hardcover artbook? How could Disgaea 4 sell less than say, Hyperdimension Neptunia that already had a limited print by being a risk?

Lyner probably blackmailed them into making it hardcover...probably.

In Disgaea 4's case, making it hardcover would have changed the overall packaging, pushing the price up even more. So they decided to go softcover to keep costs low. At least, that's how I understand it!

Oh, at least that makes sense. I love me some artbooks, and love even more when they're hardcovered, but I can deal with that.
