Trinity Soul Vs. Persona 3

Okay, I bet I'm the only one in the world but... I liked the anime more than the game!
Yes, I did!

I thought the game was something between 'average' to 'nice', but the anime was 'great'. Of course, it had its flaws but... everything has flaws so

So I was just wondering what other people think. It's my own theory that people who loved the game didn't like the anime much and vice versa.

Well, the more I look back, the less and less I like P3 (mostly the brick emotionless wall of a main character), whereas on the other hand, the barebones and characters of Trinity Soul easily have the potential to make a fantastic Megaten games in Atlus' hands. Provided they ever try to use it.

... Really, I'll say it's a tie for me.

I can't see how it is, given that FMC clearly doesn't have it in the slightest and essentially has the same backstory without being a total bore of a character.

Shin would actually be a really fun silent protagonist provided he's not botched up to be a generic sparkling pimp one.

I love this anime. It is the epitome of anime perfection for me so far. I'm in the middle of disc 3 and I can't believe how great this show is. The colors, character designs, framing, voice acting, and pacing are just perfection.

I prefer the game, I'm not exactly sure why, just I felt the game was more entertaining and a bit more Dark in my opinion, well then again that's just me!

I seriously don't understand people who call P3 "dark". Especially if compared to the anime which was much darker.

In P3 the only dark part ever was Shinji's death. In PTS there was a lot more, like a main character killing the person he might have been in love with

Well it's all a matter of opinion, and how a specific person defines "dark", dark to different people may be more of one part of something events, settings, characters, etc.

I end up looking at Trinity Soul and P3 as two completely separate beasts. The stylings are so dramatically different, I'm actually a bit annoyed they tied Trinity Soul into P3 at all. I would have been much better as a stand-alone anime.

As someone who loved the game, I believe that Trinity Soul was garbage as an anime tie-in. Most of this had to do with the fact that the writers clearly only had a passing resemblence to the series, exemplified when one character states that "Adults can't be Persona users". Yeah, I'd like them to go look at the preceding game and try to tell me that. This apathy towards the source material, in addition to the fact it's been blatantly declared as non-canon by the official team, really just makes the entire thing pointless. If it didn't have the Persona name and it was completely changed into something else, maybe I'd be less critical about it.
