I completely missed this post somehow...I fully support this! I do have a feeling that Atlus would probably be the better group to go to on this, but at the same time, I don't see it completely out of NISA's realm either...

At least it isn't for the PSP and thus lower any chances of it coming over, so I still have a bit of hope...LOL

But it's for the regular DS, which is even lower chance...

Which is rather amusing as my local stores only just recently, like in the last month or so, made some shelving dedicated to the 3DS, and the DS still has several displays to itself.

I think the regular DS game has a higher chance than a PSP game...I don't know many people (at least on a personal level and not forum members) that actually own a 3DS. I personally don't own one because there aren't enough games out or announced worth getting one for me, but I know there probably will in time so I'll just wait it out. There are still a decent amount of DS games getting released, even though it is declining moreso now because of the 3DS. The shelves at my Wal-Marts and Gamestops are still predominantly DS (when it comes to handhelds) and there's still just a tiny corner for 3DS games as well...The PSP section is purely pitiful now, but I don't need to say why, although I think it's quite a shame...

What actually hurts its chances is that the DS doesn't have a service where you can download DS games. PSP at least has PSN.

While that is true, I don't think the PSN has been helping the PSP sales that much. I mean, I'm not saying it's pointless, but DS games are also a tad bit cheaper, and with the massive variety they offer, I really don't hear a lot of people complaining about a lack of a network to download games for the DS...Not saying people don't wish for that to happen, but I guess what I'm getting at the most is that physical copies for the DS sale better than the PSP in general still. I don't have proof on that, other than what is obviously seen at Gamestop with the comparison of shelf sizes, the more frequent release the DS games still gets compared to the PSP games...Also, the DS has a wider fan margin than the more mature players with the PSP (judging by the massive amounts of children games vs mature games). There's a better market still for the DS in general than the PSP, especially since not all people are eager for 3D games as opposed to the PSVita's more interactive nature which hurts the PSP. I personally don't give a crap about games being 3D, and the only reason why some of my friends want the 3DS is just for some of the ports like the Ocarina of Time Zelda game...but the appeal of the Vita is definitely there given all it's capabilities...

Hence, why I think the DS is still in the safe zone...until there are more games for the 3DS, which, who knows, if this game did get brought over, by the time it'd be ready to sell here in the states, maybe by then the 3DS would have a better variety of games and the DS would be closer to its demise, while I'm sure the PSP in its entirety would be obsolete.

Then again, Nora is slated for the DS, so I guess these rants of mine are a bit...inadequate...LOL

My thoughts exactly Mlada! Also the fact that the 3DS has Backward Compatibility really shouldn't make publishers shy away from the DS as much as they have since the 3DS came out... It's quite a shame really...

Well devil survivor 2 is coming out in the states this feb. So who knows

Yeah, I know about that...but so many people keep saying the opposite of PSP or DS is dead...Which as you just said, that's not the case. I hate it that when as soon as the new console comes out, everybody assumes that the older model is instantly obsolete...

I was just getting that when (that is "if") Nora were to come over to the States, it may be quite a few months from now...maybe even a year (maybe...it is already out in Japan, right? If not, then maybe more than a year). In a years time, it might be enough to consider the PSP dead and the DS starting to officially die (but still linger a bit). America seems to revolve around newer electronics, as in once a new console/phone/computer/gadget of any sort comes out, it's all about keeping up with the Jones' and the older systems start to fade away. In Japan, that's not the case, but I think it's obvious that a lot of American gaming producers are starting to ween away from the PSP (at least just the PSP at this time) if at all possible because the numbers for it are dwindling...

On the other hand, we are also dealing with Atlus here, and their recent track record hasn't been so great for localising this kind of thing.

I would really really really like to see this game in english. And since you've worked with both Atlus and Gust before maybe you can talk them into giving you a license to the game.
