I'd like to see how a base panel fight looks from inside the bp. Also, a line of Staff skills to make a staff forte not just a recomendation would be nice. It would also be cool if the Item World was more unique and representative of the actual item you are diving into instead of just a few statues along the way. Finally, the comboing of weaker skills from D3 should be brought back.
I'm too damn lazy to put anything sweet here yet.

The Base Panel thing would be interesting. It would be amazing if Staves got skills, but since the way you get skills changed from D2 to D3 I never use weapon skills anymore so it would've bother me that much. I use Staves regularly now. Agree 100% about the Item World. I literally start to fall asleep while grinding through the Item World. Maybe if the Pirates talked or had little scenes it might keep my attention. The combo skills I never really used that much though it was kinda fun.

I've always wanted to know what the Fist weapons look like. I know it requires time and money to even accomplish, but it's what I wish for anyway =)

I know it's been said but skill merge needs to be in. D4 wasn't as fun for me because I loved killing enemies with it.

Return land of Carnage opening Requirements back to D3s. Why you may ask, lets be honest D3 had probably one of the better ways to open up the Land of Carnage. All you had to do was encounter the scalper buy all of his tickets and then beat the maps, and voila you have access to the Land of Carnage. This is the better way because you still earned it but it wasn't a ridiculous challenge like it was in D2 and D4.

Duping should be a reward. This is the tricky one, but I think that being able to dupe an item should be a reward that you are able to unlock after you've completed something big like beaten Baal or Pringer X the first time, and have unlocked the Land of Carnage. It allows the game to still have it's challenge but doesn't make going in the the real deep parts of the game an exercise in frustration, it will also cut down on all the people who dupe 6000 times and then say the game is to easy. Plus when you beat someone like Baal or Pringer X you feel like you earned the right to dupe.

Class world needs to be more... focused... is the word I'm using. Any way what I'm saying is that Class World needs to rely less on the RNG. Lets be honest we use Class world for the Aptitude bonus above all else and it should become more focused on that. Instead of Aptitude points being given out at random when you go to the Class World you are allowed to select the Aptitude that you want to increase, like you are allowed to select Atk, Def,Hit,Spd,Int, Res, Mv, Jp, Throw, Skill, Evility, and just go through it, or select Aptitude and once you finish the 10th floor you are allowed to spend your Aptitude points on what you want.

Anyway those are my views on how things could be improved in D5, what are yours?

Game should allow getting women pregnant having a baby with them, whether you walk out on them or stay with them. It should also have an option to marry someone of the same sex. I would also enjoy it if we didn't have to use the same avatar all of the time for the game's lobby areas. I would prefer being able to play as someone like Fuka or something. Needs a ton of DLC characters from Compile Heart and GUST.

I think these are better in other rpg type games like Agarest Wars and Bioware games IMO. I could never see Disgaea actually make a marriage system, but who knows.

I don't want that system because they could always make better gameplay for other things. They could improve that whole evil symbol thing for example.

I think the next game definitely needs a better inventory management system. Perhaps a way to filter and autosell certain items that you get from grinding. For example spoils that fall below a certain rank or do not have certain specialists. A way to search for desired specialists would be nice too. Oh yes, and a sell-all feature at the store. I want to spend my time playing the game, and not selling each item one by one.

Going to list a bunch of ideas off the top of my head since I've been in a creative mood the last few days and playing too much Disgaea 4:

- If not directly for one specific class, allow tile customization for adjustable spells (Fire, Ice, Wind, Star), perhaps to be adjusted prior to entering any sort of combat. I got the idea by hybridizing additional tiles in the Cam-Pain Board around already established Evil Areas, and thought it could work even better with the Magic System. I could see this being an awesome ability for say the Onmyo Mage who relies on hitting as many enemies as he can. You could scale it to as many tiles as your Boosts on the magic would allow.

- Include some defense animations, whether it be for dodging, blocking, etc. Seeing units getting hit regardless of the effect kind of defeats the visual purpose of having high defensive stats. If it's a large-scale attack animation or something and it's to be a miss, perhaps have the dodging character fade out of sight damage is about to be distributed? It'd also be neat to see a character parry an attack with their own weapon and counter right after in regards to a miss or something.

- Maybe a good-aligned non-player pirate or two? This would be an interesting switch for the high-levels who run into an item they're having trouble surviving in, for these pirates to actually show up and help out. Almost as refreshing as when you find an Item World Hospital when you really need it. I know you can already do this by using the Signal Transmitter to call another player, but an NPC one would be interesting as well.

- At least 10 - 20 cameo characters on the disc. With how many characters Disgaea/N1 has under their belt, any less is not only an insult to the franchise, which prides itself on smashing the fourth wall, but to any consumers who enjoy the post-game.

- Stop with the polls and the bits of DLC and just release Tons and Tons of DLC in a more timely manner. Month to month is cool, twice a month is better, but either way, give a lot of content and stop leaving so many (popular!) people out.

- To that end, a way to make the base HUGE. I seriously can't imagine there be any room for your unique generics with all the DLC and other unique characters in the base.

True that, why can't the base get bigger. For the love, at the very least allow us the abilty to put the DLC in storage if needed.

I'm a new Disgaea fan. I started playing Disgaea series with the latest one which came out about 3 months ago. Currently I have 180 hours on D4 and 80 hours on D3 as well as 3 hours on Disgaea 2 :D .

Anyway, I did play a lot of good games (U3, BF3, DS, Skyrim) but I get bored after 45min-1hr but when I play Disgaea I never get bored unless I decided to  .

Ok back to topic, I realized Disgaea still missing some stuff that we have never had in previous series.

Battle
-Bigger maps with more enemies that spawn later (like after defeating 5 of the current enemies).
-New elements to battles. Uhmm.. things like traps, stealth enemies(ambush!).
-More tactics/strategy (Most of the time you only lose because your allies are weak, I want more frustration  ).
    -Side missions/quests.
-Each character should have more one special attack which is completely different than the others. (Like you hear the character's theme and so on  )

General
-Bigger UI (Then why's the game supporting 1080p for?)
-Ability to create weapons/armor as well as customize them in terms of appearance (color, design, etc)

Story
-Instead of the traditional visual novel cutscene or whatever its called, why can't we have an ingame anime cutscene? I heard Disgaea 2 had one but .. I want to see Axel in action!!!

But the question is .. is it really possible? :geek:

I think one major improvement in my opinion would be changing between magic targets.

For example, having a level 2 spell go diagonal or horizontal. Same with a level 3. Or on a level 5 magic, to change between a + to the X, just to name a few. I can't be the only one who thought this, or am I? :geek:

Well, I did think Disgaea 4 is so far the closest the series has come to perfection, but there are a few minor nitpicks I'd like for them to correct...

-So connected Geo Blocks can't be lifted. Alright. Then why are they even showing up in the list of targets you can lift? Heck, they even tend to show up at the top of said list, and then once you click them you're just told that you can't lift them anyway, so, uh... Why?

-Bring Statisticians back to the main Item World. Whoever thought it was a good idea to make them only appear during reverse pirate missions and seemingly having such a stupidly low appearance rate... well let's just say I rather disagree. Only now did it occur to me how ridiculously lucky I was to find one on my first attempt back in my first playthrough of the game. (Not having access to the PS3 where my original file is stored at the moment, I've restarted the game and am now experiencing the rather annoying issue of having to reset over and over and over in an attempt to find just one Statistician.)

-More variation in the actual in-game cameos. I mean, by all means, if you want to make fifty billion DLC-characters then that's alright with me, but is it too much to ask that we get some cameos in the actual game that aren't either from other Disgaeas or Makai Kingdom? I mean, Laharl, Flonne and Etna all got their own separate events in this one, plus Axel and Raspberyl, and then there was that unlockable fight with Kurtis... Is it just me or were Zetta and Asagi the only non-Disgaea characters who were recruitable outside of DLC?

-Make the Land of Carnage quest just a tad less infuriating, please. It was bad enough in Disgaea 2, and here it seems they just made it even more brutal.

Another one I thought of, kinda like the Character Painter, a Title Editor so you can make your favorite generics title something that really fits your team concept or whatever. If Almaz and Etna can make their own titles, why can't we?
