I wonder how the pre-order #s are comparing to mk1's. I hope the 2nd game is considered a surprising success for NISA like the 1st was.

I hear that the premium editions for HDN all sold out, and now it's literally a collector's item as of now. I do think that this game is more anticipated than I thought, as I am sure anticipating it...

I have yet to beat HDN, but from where I'm at, it appears I'm almost done! :D

Considering the demand for the first one, the people who later bought it used, and then the people that bought it when the reprint hit Gamestop, I'd say it'll probably do MUCH better this time around! Plus, I think ALOT of people learned their lesson in preordering... Another factor too is that sequel's usually do better in general because of so many people that buy the first over time, and then learn about the sequel (and in this case, how MKII has improved).

I think I might get a chance to pre-order this today -- that is, Friday the 17th (it's past midnight where I am). Hope I do.
Spoiler:
It would be a nice way to celebrate my 27 years on this earth.

I didn't pre-order the game, though I will most likely borrow it from my otaku buddy.

I hate the word otaku because it can be interpreted in so many ways, but I know what you mean, that's what counts..But anyway... My point was...I want an otaku buddy qq...Actually, pretty much ALL my buddies are "otaku", but in the wrong way. They're all anime/manga fans (which I have no interest in), not anime-inspired gaming fans...Gaming wise, they're into mainstream stuff. Whyyy god. whyyy.

How can it be wrong to be an otaku for anime/manga :?
That's like, THE DEFINITION of being an otaku. gaming just's a rather recent addition to the otaku culture.

Hipster?! Please, im like the ONLY guy on here who actually defends games like call of duty and such. I have no issues with mainstream games. I just want my friends to like non mainstream games so i have someone to play with.

And vampko, the definition of otaku is a whole other topic i want to avoid. I specifically said though that they were the "wrong" kind based on what i PErSONALLY want for my own hobbies/recreation. Therefore, theyre the wrong kind in terms of "share interests with ghaleon" compatibility.

In case you didnt know, having a common interest with friends is nice =).

No I realize that.

It is a bit odd, but maybe they just feel that the games' experiences can't compare to the experiences they get from anime? I tend to think the same, but not completely.

How right I was with the assumption I made on the 2nd page. Glad I preordered of course! With only a few hundred copies left, everyone who is still on the fence about getting it, and those trying to gather some monies together, should try and be quick about it! Never wait to the last minute to decide on things...

Not that it's particularly relevant, but I'd defend those games, too... I'm pretty fond of shooters, and really any genre aside from Sports games.... I hate sports games... Also, I wasn't calling you a hipster per se, just saying that that part of your post sounded like a hipster thing to say (the 'mainstream? Oh God why, eff mainstream' kinda vibe)
