Well, there's no good reason for it to be. But the ESRB is stupid and somewhat unpredictable.

Actually, I'm not sure that I agree on that one. I remember that Record of Agarest War, despite everything, was only rated 'T' (including bath scenes). As the ESRB pointed out, there was nothing technically 'Mature' in the game. Pushing the line, yes, but they didn't actually cross it. I'm not sure that I agree that 'Sexual Themes' seems to be worse than 'Intense Violence' (etc.), but I think they do the best job they can.

What bothers me about 'No Adult Games', though, is that I seem to recall there's some fairly dirty stuff in the 'Wallpapers' area of the PSN. Pretty sure, anyway. >.> Don't go on there much. But, why allow stuff there but ban it in games before you even consider them? I suppose the PR might be a big factor... but it's like saying a TV company can't have 'Adult' channels because it could tarnish, say, Comcast's image. Bleah. They seem to be doing all right. o.O

They just don't want the rep, etc. Same reason Carpe Fulgur won't do eroge games, even if the story is really good. "Oh no, they do/did a porn game, disgusting, they're the worst people on the planet! Now if you'll excuse me, I have to play Bloody Gorey: The Video Game!"
