I was thinking about getting into this. Is the manga or the anime the way to go?

It's an Anime-First, so watch the anime first. Manga is an adaptatation which is basically the anime with a few differences. You could read it after the anime to spot them.

Kazumi Magica and Orika Magica are spin-off manga.

Definitely the anime. I found the manga kind of disappointing by comparison.

As for the spin-offs, Oriko wasn't that good. Kazumi is freaking amazing, so at least check it out.

My parents usually pay for it, and I have a PayPal account that I put some money in. My school doesn't like paying for stuff so they pay me to design the T-shirts sometimes, but only in an extreme scenario. There are about 2-3 artists at the same school who draw waaaay better than I do.

So what is the average income of a Japanese person doing something basic for a job?

The average income for a Japanese household is usually 2~5x higher than the usual American household.

Well, in a few days the first two movies of Puella Magi Madoka Magica will be released for viewing in both Japan and US. Anyone here planning on seeing it? Third movie is suppose to be a brand new story, so this should be interesting.

I'm certainly going to be there, since I managed to buy all 3 Limited Edtion DVD & Blue-Ray sets of the anime.

Tried to put the poster in this post but was too big from the Wiki.

I would, especially since it's airing in a town nearby, but I haven't the money. I was going to be able to meet Cristina Valenzuela (Voice of Dub Homura) too..

I would like to watch them, but I don't live in any of the states where the movies will be shown. For those who want to know where the movies will be shown, here you go:

I'd definitely go... if I wasn't forty miles from Canada, further than I could be from ANY of the showings.

If you can't tell, I'm really freaking bitter regarding this— I LOVE Puella Magi Madoka Magica; so it's really hard to not want to kill anyone who talks about being able to go.

It's pretty annoying that it's in such odd locations. Seattle/CA seem more like places where anime fans would be.
EDIT
New York as well.

But...Texas...?

Aren't there a few American anime liscensors based in Texas? It might seem like anime fans would not be in Texas but Texas is a highly populated state, with over 20 million people. It's not like they picked Montana or Alaska.

Yeah, I obviously wouldn't know. I've been there before, but that was only a small part of it. So I couldn't say for sure.

But, yeah, if they picked Alaska that would just be total 'what the crunk were you thinking!?' material

Atleast it's not JUST within your grasp.

Needless to say, urges to kill are rising everywhere.
