Just Push Start Reviewer wrote:...To further enhance yourstrategic possibilities, the AP counter is no longer timed. This means you’re now able to input commands at your own pace.

I don't recall any part of Neptunia's battle system being restricted by time, especially the AP meter. Perhaps the reviewer has mistaken Neptunia's battle system for Trinity Universe's? A common mistake I suppose.

Overall I agree with what was written in the review, I'm glad this game is faring better already.

Hmm I agree with most of the Review so far but I actually miss the Characterartwork they sort of looked better. Currently the conversation system feels a bit uncomfortable to me hard to explain, maybe because I do programming but it just feels not exactly immersive , oka side of certain combat scene moments, but with the figures just standing around it feels a bit odd for my taste at least. Sorry when I did go a bit offtopic there. :)

and the item synth system

I really liked how any item that you created becomes available in the store for you to purchase.

Only for that playthrough though, it resets on a NG+ which is stupid imo.

Our first review is from 'Just Push Start'
http://www.justpushstart.com/2012/02/hy ... k2-review/

They complement the new combat system, more traditional item use, the wider variety in environments, the use of 3d models over silhouettes, the streamlined world map and better use of references. They do however slate the preachy story, the over-abundance in cash available and the item synth system (though the reviewer only got 4 recipes so this seems a weaker point as I've found some 15 recipes and only on chapter 2).

Overall they scored the game a 4/5, so a great review to start things off.

When you find other reviews please post them here. Thank you.

I am sorry if my remark was confusing about the synth system. I have about 40 recipes, but I could only ACTUALLY create 4 of them. Many of the items I couldn't make didn't have a use long term... so it made the system feel pointless to me.

I admit that is an error on my part and I didn't realize why I was wrong till you posted. Since I reviewed Neptunia 1 over a year ago... I haven't touched the game. Due to deadlines / Vita / life I didn't have the time to replay Neptunia 1. Due to this I was going off memory and I remembered constantly HAVING to do quick combos. When you made this remark I remembered that it was based off breaks and those are no longer timed. Since I didn't feel the need to rush I assumed incorrectly off my memory. Regardless you can still go at your own pace unlike Neptunia.

Admiral, are you the person who wrote the review? 'cause I've never seen a reviewer make an account to explain part of their review on a forum.

Cool. You have my respect for making an account here to just explain certain parts of your review.

I'm sorry but the game does not deserve a 5/5. Maybe 3,5 or 4 out of 5, but not more.

Matter of opinion.

Personally, I thought it was better than Tales of Xillia, and MOST JRPGs I've played in the past few years. It topped Vesperia for me, as well.

Mk2 was original, well thought out, and a solid title.
Sure it had a few hiccups here and there, but for the most part, people won't care. Since it's a good game.

I'd personally give it a 3, maybe a 3.5. A score of 5 is absolutely far-fetched, matter of opinion or not. 5 is a perfect score and this is far from a perfect game.

Yeah sure it is a matter of opinion but a rating of 5/5 would mean the game is perfect, which you said it isn't. That's also the reason I prefer ratings in percent, because they're more accurate.

And I'm sorry but, comparing mk2 with ToV has to be a joke as ToV is far superior than mk2. But that's another topic.
