That was the weirdest teaser I've ever seen...ever.

Though I admit I laughed my ass off at the end

I hope this is kind of a foreshadowing that the next Neptunia is gonna be serious yet humorous at the same time.

Seeing as how he said "Neptune"/"Nepu", it's obvious what it is.... but damn did I laugh.

Edit: Used Google Translate, two messages on teh site:

召喚部長イザワ!!
Izawa director summons! !

コンパイルハート,ゲイムギョウ界
Compile Heart, the world Geimugyou

Geimugyou/Geimugyoukai is the rough equivalent of what we know as "Gamindustri".
But... it's Google translate, we all know how well that works out.

I vote 5pb for the main character

Really though, anyone BUT Neptune. Even if she makes the most sense (series named for her and all), She's the only one I can't stand.

I just kinda hope this isn't turning into one of those annually released franchises. Because that's going to get kinda annoying after a while (CoD = perfect example)

There's other things I need to get before another Neptunia (Like my cusom-built PC)

oh & one last thing. PLEASE DO NOT REHASH THE MK2 GAMEPLAY EVERY GAME! WE DO NOT WANT A COD OF JRPG'S HERE!

Umm...the Arland series was a yearly release, and was amazing, and each game was a huge step up from the previous.

So, it can be done well.

Burn

.....jk

But still, no, no, and NO.
Anyone who says Neptune doesn't deserve to be the main character of a franchise THAT IS BASED AROUND HER is ridiculous.

Neptune for main character... or Noire.
Make sure they are party members from the get go. That would be perfect ~

Seeing as how this is following Mk2's teaser site schedule and whatnot...
We'll have a countdown page for the actual site probably by mid-next week.

Gemaga or Dengeki will spoil the announcement the following week, and the site will be up around the 19 ~ 21st. Since it's literally following the same pattern. xD

But, either way, it's just our opinions. I'm surprised you didn't like EN Gear, but ah well. For me, she was better than the JP one ~

Uni <3

That honestly makes no bloody sense.

The series is named "Neptune", based upon the story/stories surrounding the character "Neptune", it's her series. Gear got time in the spotlight, but Neptune is the sole reason for this series existence.

Neptune is the face of the series, because it's entirely based around her. Even in Mk2, it was still about her and the CPUs, moreso

If Gear was the face of the series, the game would be called "Chou Jigen Game Nepgear" not "Chou Jigen Game Neptune".

Admittedly, I liked her for a bit, but she's not the type of character that I prefer. >_>

Objection! That's not always true. For example, in the Arc the Lad series Arc is only the protagonist in the first game. In Arc the Lad II Elc is the protagonist and Arc is reduce to a playable character. In Arc the Lad III Alec is the protagonist and Arc just makes a short cameo. I mean you could argue that Arc is the "face of the series" too but that doesn't mean everything has to revolve around him as the lead character. Hell Donkey Kong was kidnapped in Donkey Kong Country 2 and 3 and they still kept the name "Donkey Kong Country."

Oh boy, there's a lot of things out there with artifact titles, such as Baldur's Gate II having nothing to do with the city of Baldur's Gate, Alundra II never even mentions the titular protagonist of the first game, I could go on. Many of these games are continuations of previous stories or technically spin-offs just set in the same mythos.
Heck, even Final Fantasy is one, as it was called due to being the last game Square was likely to ever make due to going bankrupt, but it ended up a huge success and the name stayed, despite the very few recurring elements the games have.
