What about projects that have already proven financially feasible? If you had a series that was successful enough, would you go back to dub it and re-release it? It's not unprecedented.

Clearly I'm asking for Toradora.

This is a good question, seeing as that was done for Clannad :P

Sentai does ALOT more titles though, and because the sales of Clannad were REALLY glad (and the had the time and cash), a dub was made. BUT that's the ONLY example in the anime world of that happening... They've dubbed a few other things, like Angel Beats, but very minimal.

So, the panel itself was pretty normal. They went over their localization and title selection process, generally indicating that they are anti-fanservice, and prefer shows that are comedic or have more relationship depth to them. Among other things, they want to be seen as a company that puts out quality products, not just disposable fanservice junk. XD;

If they do re-releases, there won't be any changes to the script and so on, because it's already the best they can make it when they first release it.

Also, I don't have a very good Prinny voice. >o<

The guy that wrote this? :lol:

You know what, I'm fucking pissed. Sandy Fox would have been fucking perfect as Menma because she had that fucking perfect loli voice there. But nooooooooooooooooooooo.........TheGoldenWaste has to fucking ruin it. The show deserves a good English dub cast and NIS America ruined it

True, and NISA localizes some pretty niche anime, compared to what Sentai has been picking up lately, and dubbing (the Gintama Benizakura arc movie, and Person 4 for instance), so at least NISA is releasing anime over here that wouldn't normally come here, and with nice extras to boot heh

@Rednal - To me, their products are of quality, for the most part, so I guess whatever they're doing is working :P

Yeah the products sure are quality! Unfortunately, there's been only a few series that's interested me that I've picked up (Persona, Fox Deity, and Kanatagatari). Still, its partly because I don't watch nearly as much anime as I used to. However, when news on Natsume gets announced, I'll look into it :)

@Darc: And by "quality", I'd like to add that they have an emphasis on their nice box sets. XD Apparently, they chose their oversize design because they don't have to conform to stocking standards in retail stores. Which, incidentally, allows for boxes you can totally put on display as nice works of art in their own right. o wo

They weren't bitching. That's just not the direction the anime division wants to go in. (If it wasn't made clear, the people managing NISA games are totally different from NISA anime.)

I wouldn't compare something like Neptunia to something like... Heaven's Lost Property. Ecchi anime and games are pretty different. If anything ecchi in games are pretty short scenes, like a suggestive still or something.

Honestly, I like the direction of Nisa's anime.

I don't mind the anime they localize (though I am annoyed that if NISA gets an anime it means a dub will never come), it was just amusing to see NISA's anime group be all anti-fanservice when 90% of the games NISA brings out have fanservice.

After reading the ANN panel notes I wouldn't call them anti-fanservice. They just go for different titles.
Putting that aside, it's nice to see a company that isn't over whelming itself with too many projects.
